Saw in the Twitterverse that MU is now launching a "massive" offer for Ciro Immobile. Yikes.

BTW, are there any Red Devil fans in here? Just wanna know where to send my condolences on the season...

Ugh... here.

Can't wait to get taken behind the woodshed on Monday by 'pool. Need to get rid of Ronaldo, but it sounds like the only person that doesn't want him out is Joel Glazer, who has the power to veto him leaving... De Gea played garbage. Still not sure why he was preferred to Henderson.

Full blown rebuild is needed. Step 1 is get the Glazers out. United need to be run like a soccer team, not a business. I don't care how many shirts Ronaldo can sell, he doesn't fit the system and it sounds like he is being an ass in the locker room (part of me can't blame him, part of me thinks he needs to be a professional lol). Get guys who fit the system, get young guys who have good potential instead of paying $100 million for a name who doesn't fit.

Give EtH more time than Ole got. No coach is stepping in to United and winning anything, he's not the issue, the board is.

Never been much of a Tuchel fan. He seemed horribly rattled from the start yesterday, for whatever reason. I know it was a big match but you could tell he might have been feeling some pressure. He should relax. The Russian mafia is gone now, right?

As a fan of the USMNT and football fan in general, I want Pulisic just about anywhere else besides Chelsea. Ultimately I want him playing and getting a lot of minutes wherever he is. It isn't happening at Chelsea for whatever reason. Fresh start needed.

Ok, got it -- thanks, gents! So basically Tuchel is a bitch lol

I said this in a group ⚽️ chat yesterday.

“Tuchel is a top manager, for sure. But being a top manager doesnt preclude you from being a bitch.”

Zero accountability from him. Kai and others missed about 6-7 real chances. Never should’ve been close.

Chelsea had the opportunity to clear their lines (in possession) prior to the PEH goal. They didnt, he whinged about the (clear) foul by Betancour.

Chelsea do a poor job marking Kane on the last corner, he gets the equalizer. Tuchel cries about the hair pulling.

Both the foul and hair pulling occurred, no doubt, but you cannot control the decisions, only play.

Something about German managers in the premier league, they’re bit annoying.

We stole a point when we should’ve been embarrassed. COYS

A lot of moving parts but there are plenty of accountable people other than the Glazers.

Ole wanted Maguire, made him captain. 80 million on him. He wanted Sancho, 75 million on him.

Jose wanted Fred, 50 million on him.

Ten Hag wanted Martinez, 60 million on him.

The Glazers are what they are, but blaming it all on the Glazers when managers have been backed and have made poor decisions is embarrassing. Gary Neville was singing that tune over the weekend. Not to mention these players are professionals playing at the highest level and have looked like complete dogs for well over a year. Ronaldo might end up having his contract terminated but his attitude is piss poor. This guy is supposed to be one of the best ever to put on boots.

Sancho is a great example of a young player that made a terrible decision on where to go. He did it for the wages when in reality he still could have made good wages and gone into a far better situation for himself professionally. Now he's stuck in this mess and probably can't play himself out if he wanted to.

It's a mess from the top on down but there is more than enough shared blame to go around.

Right now I don't think any manager can save them.

There is more blame to go around, but it starts at the top. The Glazers only care about making money and getting players who will sell shirts. They know very little about the game but have their fingers in it constantly. They worry about over paying to get players, but they do it all the time because of the name. Maguire was the best English CB the season before he came to United. Sancho was tearing up the Bundesliga the year before he came to United. Of course the Glazers would go for those guys because they are household names at that point (not just to the people who follow United, but people who follow most other teams). Those guys get butts in seats across the globe and sell shirts. Did either fit the system of the coach that "wanted" them? Based on their years with the coach, probably not.

Every year they overpay. Every year they wait as long as possible to make transfers because approval has to go through the Glazers. Then they realize their first and second choices are gone and selling teams realize that they are desperate. Easy money for them.

You either need ownership who knows soccer enough to help or know that they don't know anything and stay out of it. I doubt Martinez was the first choice CB. I'd put him at DCB and get rid of McTominay. However, because Varane can't stay healthy, Bailly is on the way out, and Lindelof not being good enough, he plays in the back.

The other top clubs in the Premiership don't handle it this way. They get their shit done early, they find the right guys to make the team better. The right guy isn't always the best guy.

This, even at the time, is very debatable.

As it is, he's shit now and the club has spent $1 billion on a lot of players who are the same. The managers been given money from ownership and have spent it very poorly.

Bringing in the right players vs bringing in players. This is where, I believe, City and Liverpool are ahead of the rest of the pack. United are terribly behind because they're just bringing in players. The money to do so, however, has been there.

I really think this is a bigger thing than the manager. The manager should have a philosophy on how he wants his team run. He shouldn't be scouting. United literally let their scouts walk. The scouts should know the philosophy and be able to look for players that fit that philosophy. City and Pool have that down to an exactly science. They can identify player that fit Pep's and Klopp's style.

However, I also feel the ownership at those two clubs would back their coaches 100%. EtH wants Ronaldo gone. A lot of the club want him gone. Ronaldo wants Ronaldo gone. Ownership does not. So guess who isn't gone yet? Ronaldo makes the Glazers money. If they sold him, that's $500,000 a week in wages they recoup to make transfers in. So what is Ronaldo going to do? Be an ass and try to get his contract terminated.

Edit. Yeah, Maguire was debatable. However, he was the best English CB on the market at the time.

The Glazers are failures, no question, especially in the lack of investment onto Old Trafford. Not all the blame lies with them however. It may start with them, but it doesn't finish with them. Ashley was a far worse owner for Newcastle.

Every defender and referee in England saw how easily Nunez got wound up.

City is going to win the league. Question is how hard they'll have to work to do it and who will push them. Their greatest challenger these last few years are dropping points to newly promoted and mid table teams from London. I like their odds.

Boils down once again to whether City or PSG can win Europe this year. Otherwise very little intrigue.

Liverpool is a bit of a mess. I bet we will figure it out but it will take time. We'll be to far back for that to matter.

Some of the stats yesterday were shocking. 6 matches in a row and 8 of the last 10 they've conceded first. That's a concern.

They lost three attackers but only signed Nunez. Supposedly Diaz replaces Mane but they brought him in during the January window and went on a run with both. Now one is gone.

Lots of 30 something midfielders prone to missing matches due to injuries.

City are like a Russian hockey team from the 80s.

Chris Richards played the final 15 for Palace yesterday. Hopefully he can crack the XI sooner than later, but glad they didn't throw him to the wolves in one of the first two matches against Arsenal and 'Pool.

5 year contract. Very exciting stuff. Not a loan or loaning him out so they have him in their long term plans.

Probably a tall order for him to get starts ahead of Andersen and Guehi, but they have an injured CB currently and another who is 33. Hopefully he gets into the rotation and gets a chance to prove himself.

I'd love it Nunez doesnt become Suarez. In the end I wanted that dude gone because it was always something ridiculous with him. I hope Nunez just needs to realize this isnt Portugal and its very physical. Deal with it and dont lose your head.

Not much left to say. It was a very stupid decision on his part. Where his career goes now is up to him. Every ref and defender in England saw it, so now he's marked until he proves himself mature to handle it otherwise. I was shocked in all honesty. Didn't make a great deal of contact when you play it back and Andersen totally sold it, but it was enough. No excuse.

Suarez is a Grade A asshole. If this kid is half as bad you're going to have a problem. What I know of the kid from Benfica, he doesn't seem like a sociopath like Suarez.

That being said, I think the officiating needs to do a much better job of protecting and policing the players from the baiting and aggressive behavior. The Spurs guy yanking the Chelsea player down by his hair on Sunday while the referee (Anthony Taylor) was looking right at it is a more extreme example, but Andersen was dogging Nunez the entire match with shoving and bumping. Nunez's reaction was obviously not appropriate, but at some point a referee needs to sort it out rather than give fake warnings and then go along without doing anything if the behavior he's warned against continues.

Very consistently inconsistent as we've seen in England for the last several years. Their officiating leaves a lot to be desired. Bundesliga seems to do a far better job at keeping their matches tidy.

Pulisic to Newcastle on loan smoke starting to heat up.

Would love to see him with the Toon getting serious burn headed into Qatar.

If true, hilarious. I would absolutely believe Ronaldo saying that. Not sure about Varane, he'll be on the team this year.

Also, rumblings of United wanting Pulisic. For the love of God, please no. He needs to be somewhere he can play and not be a rotational player.
