Both witnesses, who resigned on Jan 6, both said this was the darkest day in American history for them. I shared that opinion but here on this forum it was just a nothing burger and I am wrong about feeling like that. Nice to know people on the opposite side of the spectrum from me at least are capable of accepting what happened was totally unacceptable and they at least share my assessment

He watched. Did nothing because he wanted it to happen. What was happening was because he wanted it to and others made it such that it did. He made no calls to the DOD, never requested any help from any agency or department that could have provided support. Only after Pence was secured and HE made the calls to these departments demanding help dis reinforcements arrive. Only then when the day was lost did Trump relent and make the go home we love you video.

I didn't watch because it's a total waste of tax payers money and our governments time. This is just the Dems trying to find something to help themselves look better. This happened a year and a half ago. Why drag this out? The next hearing isn't until September. You want to investigate? Do it, stay on point, get it done in a timely manner and don't waste our money hiring a TV exec to produce this production and sell it to the public. You can scream treason, insurrection, unpatriotic, etc., but when it's over nothing will be done, just like the impeachment failed to indict him. You want Trump to go away? Don't misconstrue not watching as I don't care. I'm pragmatic. I don't need the hype. I will be very interested in the final results and will read about it once it's concluded. As I said, this entire production could have been handled in a much better and swifter way.

Biden and Trump are both equally troubling. Ask me to choose between someone who's a narcissist and someone who obviously is experiencing significant mental decline. I'm certainly not picking either of these jokers.
The stuff that Trump says either wants me to laugh at him or punch him in the face. The stuff that Biden says makes me want to go up to him and gingerly help him to a couch and ask him sympathetically "How are you doing slugger? You want to take a nap? How about a scoop of ice cream. You did great out there."
I don't think any of the world leaders respect either man, but at least some of our enemies fear what Trump could do. Our enemies look at Biden and laugh. Our allies look at him and mutter to themselves, "that poor bastard", a shell of the man he once was.
