You’re talking like Toronto caved Tampa like 60/40 when the reality is it was 52/48 all situations, 50.5/49.5 at 5v5. Do…you not think hitting is apart of defense? Do you know what the purpose of a body check is? Separate puck carrier from the puck. That’s…defense lol

The entire series was right at 50/50, and the team with the better goaltender and defense won the series. That’s not a coincidence

Hits are a sign the team is playing catchup and a indicator of who has possession...so if you don't have the puck you can't score, you understand that concept, yes? So, in combination of all other stats it shows Tampa was behind in possession.

I never made the representation that they caved them, that is your interpretation. I simply stated they were behind in multiple stats, to say Tampa was the better defensive team is not supported by stats. It would be left to "intangible" reasons as to why Tampa would be considered the better defensive team.

As far as goaltending, Vas was certainly better with a good high danger sv%.

The Flyers have no plan. It’s actually quite hilarious how inept they are right now. Part of it stems from Hextall and fletcher has somehow made it worse.

So great to see the Avs defeat Tampa Bay. Not sure what happened to the Lightning but they went from being a feel good story over the last two years to portraying themselves as a bunch of whiny, entitled sore losers. Every single penalty, icing, stoppage in play they were crowding the refs and complaining. Shut up and play the game.

Last night alone, McDonagh's hit from behind on Helm should have been 5 and a game. He's lucky he only got 2 and then Stamkos has the balls to shoot the puck at the ref for calling the penalty. Stamkos deserved a match penalty for that. Pat Maroon's 2 handed slash (and broken stick to boot) on Manson's foot deserved at least 2 minutes. And don't get Rasputin started on Corey Perry. Dirtiest little rat bastard in the league. Take the worst elements of Sean Avery's and Matthew Barnaby's games and you've got Perry. After seeing the array of punk moves he pulled this post season go back and look at his knee to the head of John Tavares in last year's playoffs and ask yourself if Perry could have avoided that collision. Of course he could have. Punk move. Classless player. Seeing him lose his 3rd straight Stanley Cup final is worthy of a parade.

Good on you, Colorado. Worthy champs.

I thought it was a good enough series and the better team clearly won.

Lightning had a hell of a run but this Avalanche squad was there to meet them at the end of it. Winning three straight Cups is just a lot of hockey. It takes it's toll. I thought you could see some of that fatigue here or there but for the most part the Avs were just better.

Yes. Lost with Pens 2008, lost with Wings 2009, then won with Blackhawks 2010. Picked up two more in 2013 and 2015.

-How Detroit fans collectively lost their freakin minds and became super bitter unlike any other losing fan base I’ve seen before or since
