Lol. This shit is comical. Now Loy is saying that ND is going to try and get CV on campus.

Thinking I might have to superchat him for "thoughts and prayers", he'll throw it over to Vince and all will be right in the world.Driskell is going to be pissed that ND isn't "going all in for Dante".
It's not as if Loy is the only person on the beat that's expecting Moore to commit (relatively) soon. Sampson, Singer, Hansen, and Driskell have all been very clear that they expect him in the class by the spring game.Haha, Loy has been working overtime for the last 2-3 months to get this QB recruiting narrative right. Flipping on his flops of flopping on his flips. He literally said earlier this morning that this was not going to happen.
With that out of the way. This is a phenomenal development. I could not be more excited about this and this is exactly how I think the staff should handle this.
He's already on campus! Solid height, too.Is there an Andrew Luck/Brady Quinn hybrid out there? That's who I am after. I'm don't with the courting.
It goes beyond that. It goes back to Jackson Arnold’s offer and recruitment. It’s been hilarious to watch him fall over himself trying to get this either right or feed the narrative to the public. It's not as if Loy is the only person on the beat that's expecting Moore to commit (relatively) soon. Sampson, Singer, Hansen, and Driskell have all been very clear that they expect him in the class by the spring game.
It’d agree with this. Those less plugged in recruiting wise and more team focused almost flippantly consider him committed already. Hansen and Sampson. That means the ND staff gives off a similar confidence to anyone who asks. Tom by some his own fault and more by circumstance is just the bearer of the good (and bad) news and twists over multiple months of following HS kids. Whenever Allen, with Wiltfong somewhat gone, pops over to the ND board he almost always echoes the exact same things as Tom.It's not as if Loy is the only person on the beat that's expecting Moore to commit (relatively) soon. Sampson, Singer, Hansen, and Driskell have all been very clear that they expect him in the class by the spring game.
I disagree with most of the above but I agree with this portion which is the fault of his own part in mine.He doesn't have good restraint, overshares his info
Agreed. I respect his "hustle" and the content he provides, sure, but he MAKES SURE to let everyone know just how hard he works ANY time he gets criticized. I'm sure you work hard, brother, but you don't need to let us all know how hard you work anytime someone calls you out or you are wrong. He's texting and typing a few hours of the day, not fighting fires or digging ditches. Give me a break. His need to be praised for his 'hard work' is off-putting and has made me reconsider subscribing next year.I'm not hating on Loy by any means. I respect his hustle. I understand his role in all of this. I'm happy to read what he has to share and find value in it. But, you have to have a sense of humor in all of this. It's just funny to watch him to do it when it goes like this. Over the last 3 months, he's contradicted himself, in the same threads, probably a half dozen times when it's come to 2023 QB. That's funny.
You can't see why trying to get CV back to campus might make people nervous about what happened on the Moore visit?I don't understand the issue here. Everyone from Loy to Sampson to WIltfong etc all believe that Moore will be Irish. And everybody said it could come by mid-April the earliest. Moore has been saying for months he wants to take OV's. So what has changed?
It just seems like a bunch of people had expectation in their minds about what would happen on this visit. And instead it went exactly like all the insiders said. He didn't commit, he still publicly states he wants to take visits but a decision can come in April. ND is still the heavy favorite.
As I posted above, some (I'd say most as that includes Loy, Trieu, and Loy) insiders did not think he'd take OV's. In fact, Loy literally posted that the ND football staff expected him to shut it down in April and not take OV's, based on what Moore had previously told them. If he takes OV's, highly likely he's not committing in April. Seems pretty cut and dry to me. The recruitment is extending beyond what they expected or wanted. Hence why we're in this thread.I don't understand the issue here. Everyone from Loy to Sampson to WIltfong etc all believe that Moore will be Irish. I don't know what this has to do with my post. I never mentioned Vizzina or said they should stop recruiting himWow... swing and a miss. Has to be major NIL numbers in play.

FWIW, I'm aware that he was telling other coaches/programs that which is why I posted the article with the Auburn 247 site. Where he said he was planning on taking OV's, but I would bet a fair amount of folks didn't believe that he actually would. So, yes, he has been telling other teams, coaches, and writers he was going to take them. Most, if not all, of the ND writers, including some 247 regional/national players like Trieu and Wiltfong, and ND's own staff didn't think it'd make it that far.
Allen Trieu would post articles saying he’s going to take OVs and then reply on the board that he didn’t think it’d get to that. It’s not a Irish Envy thing. 247 thing if anything but no one here qualifies as an “insider” hahaThat is the key right here "a fair amount of folks didn't believe he actually would" and most of those folks are on this forum. He has been publicly saying it for a while now.
The issue is literally that a lot of people set expectations even when told not to have them. ND is the heavy favorite. He visited on his own time and dime and says he wants to take OV's.
Maybe some confusion here. Yes, that was in relation to my post here because that is where I posted it. I don't have many conversations with the ND staff but do you know who does...That is the key right here "a fair amount of folks didn't believe he actually would" and most of those folks are on this forum. He has been publicly saying it for a while now.

I am in this camp as of now. I really didn't expect anything to come of the visit upon conclusion. A commitment or an announcement of a decision would have been a very welcome surprise. But Moore himself said he would. I totally get listening to Trieu and Loy and Wiltfong etc. but you should also listen to the recruit. I don't know about you guys but I am not an insider. All I can do is is listen to what is being said. And nothing that has been said has changed. ND is the heavy favorite. A commitment was not expected on this visit, and Moore plans on taking OV's.
Well wake me when he actually starts taking those OV's. But literally people are freaking out because everything that was said would happen has happened.
