But when you tell the world that you are excluding all candidates that aren't a black woman, you are exposing your nominee to an extra layer of skepticism in addition to it running counter to laws regarding hiring processes. There's more these days than people realize. You've got Winsome Sears, the new Lieutenant Governor of Virginia. I follow a number of conservative black women on Twitter, although most aren't seeking office. Kim Klacik is another that was seeking office, but she was running in deep blue Baltimore which was never going to be a win. She did manage to get almost twice the votes any other Republican has gotten in the Maryland 7th District since at least 2000.
