Yes but I don't even think we are plan B now with him visiting Ole Miss right after his ND visit.

That doesn’t really make sense since he hasn’t visited yet but alas. If anything I took it as a positive. There was a chance he only wanted to see one school to compare to LSU. Visiting a second place increases the chance he is going to decommit. I’d prefer it’s more likely that he decommit to begin with than be his Plan B of a kid never moving on to Plan B

You know, you have a point.

His dad said earlier today that were not going to visit Ole Miss per Loy

That's good. It's just so hard to see these deep south kids coming to ND. You guys talk about Ohio State but LSU and Ole Miss are the antithesis of ND. We actually get a lot of kids looking hard at Ohio State.

A kid who plays for a Catholic high school school is the antithesis of ND?

Another article with some recent quotes from Dad. Again, all signs point to him sticking with LSU if they like the hire. If not, then we might have a shot.
https://www.theadvocate.com/acadian...cle_cd817c7c-38e1-11ec-90ff-d78498d3997d.html

"For Walker, it's not just who they hire, but when they make the hire and what type of offensive system. To be honest, it's probably not going to be good if the offense features the quarterback running the football. Walker is mobile, but that wouldn't fit him in the SEC."

Walker took an official visit last weekend to Notre Dame to watch the Irish host USC. Several other programs have reached out to Walker, who hasn't decided on additional visits.

"Walker is an LSU kid," Jamie Howard said. "He committed early because he didn't like the recruiting process. He's torn by all of this because he doesn't like to let people down."

Walker is expected to return to the field for the first round of the Division II playoffs (Nov. 12) after a fractured fibula sidelined him in Week 5 against Ruston High.

Well the Ole Miss 247 guy has been tweeting numerous times earlier today that they will visit either this weekend of next.

Notice he didn’t say “I’m all LSU”. He said “I’m still LSU”. Big difference IMO. But still doubt he’s coming here. Still hope, however.

what was the response?

They are. They don't have bag men. They care about you as a person, not as just a football player. Their players actually go to class and the classes are real classes, not 'keep him eligible' classes. I know that stuff is quaint to SEC fans.

Lol ND definitely has bag men. As does every single other P5 school, and many G5 schools. If anyone thinks we're not paying recruits, they're not in touch with the reality of modern college football.

And it's true that we don't have "paper" classes, but anyone who's taken Common Human Diseases knows that there are certain "athlete" classes that are super easy.

I love ND but let's not act like we're the beacon of collegiate amateurism.

I’m curious. What’s your basis for this one?

As we naively tattle on ourselves to the NCAA for "violations" that football factories scoff at, and then proceed to have a huge # of wins vacated... excuse me for believing we're not engaged in the dirtier aspects of recruiting. Our administration approaches this stuff with childlike idealism.
