Wiltong, Loy & Brandon Huffman finally joined us in welcoming Mr. Merriweather to South Bend.

No Singer yet? Doesn't he get his intel here too?

His dad seems like a fun guy and one that loves some competition and banter. Are the Fall visits a smokescreen for ND's clear lead? Or are these future CB's?

Huffman's always said it was ND vs Stanford and then the field. Kinda surprised he didn't jump sooner. I had a brief exchange with him in the comments of one of his event write-ups and he all but said TM was gonna be Irish.

How does TM even pick Stanford over ND right now? Their program's a bore, fan attendance looks like a Wednesday night Marlins game after a 3 hour rain delay, while ND puts guys that look like him in the league every year and they play in front of full houses both home and away.. :whoknows:

Unsure. I haven't seen that mentioned anywhere.

I added a quote as they continue to somewhat dance around with the answers. It reminds me a little of Foskey's recruitment in that he committed on his visit but kept talking about taking other visits. Those visits just never happened. And he publicly committed late in the cycle with his team.

The difference would be that Foskey also took his visit during the season or later in the cycle than

Ryland Spencer with a CB 6 for ND. Not very familiar with him and Cascade Preps but Washington fans seem to be high on him or trust his work.

Edit: Apparently he’s 247 staff for Washington site but runs Cascade Preps with fellow 247 Husky Scott Eukland.

In their CJ Williams announcement tidbits, both Loy and Singer have made a point of emphasis to express confidence in Merriweather as well

Great news. That jives with Driskell as welll.

Walker, Williams and Merriweathe would be another nice haul of a WR class for ND.

This is excellent news. Merriweather, Williams, A. Walker and one more WR/ath would make this an incredible haul.

Love the longterm upside and possibility for immediate contributions. I'm super hyped about these guys.

Can't complain about Del as a recruiter with it looking like he's going to get Williams and Merriweather combined with last year's class at WR.

Hopefully, he can get the current group to produce on the field this year.

I think there has been plenty to complain about until these past two classes. Still, the cupboard is pretty bare if anything happens to Austin, Keys and Lenzy, and all have had issues with injuries.

Hard to expect true freshmen to come in and make an impact, so hopefully Colzie and Styles are ready to play in their second year.

I think his efforts the past two years will pay dividends in the years to come, but this year and/or next are looking pretty bleak from a depth perspective.

I expect Colzie and Styles to be ready in 2022; possibly seeing some PT this year. They will both be fun to follow when camp starts.

With the lack of depth we have at receiver some freshmen will need to play and these are the two I would guess going into camp with the best chance to do so.
