If I had to guess, I'd say England vs Germany will be shit. Besides, the winner is going directly to the final, which saves me a lot of time in having to watch the rest of the matches on that side of the bracket.

Kylian Mbappe must now seek asylum in NW England. I'm thinking a song at Anfield and multiple hugs from Jurgen Klopp are just thing a person needs after a moment like yesterday.

Lionel Messi has missed more PK than anyone in the 21st century. Mbappe is going to be okay.

Absolutely he'll be okay, as long as he can mentally get over it. Once Messi and Ronaldo retire, he is the undisputed best player on the planet. He just had a rough tournament.

Also, Kingsley Coman is a stud. Saw him the past few games and he is nothing short of amazing.

Jack Grealish may be the best player in England; absolutely deadly with the ball at his feet.

Wild how far my guys have fallen. These guys have historically been nearly guaranteed to make the semi-finals of any and all tourneys.

Yes. Generational talent.

It is said that Jurgen Klopp has long been an admirer of Coman's. He's definitely the goods.

England now has to avoid a let off against Sweden or Ukraine, either of whom could spring one on them, and the way this tournament has been going don't say it isn't possible

Big diference today was England had two chances and made them both. Germany missed on theirs.

Grealish is already 26 years old. Thank goodness for the rest of the world he isn't 22.

England's Rahem Sterling is so fast, he like a flash of lighting. He could have been a good RB or slot WR lol.

Ok after dwelling on Germany's toothless performances in the last two tourneys (Russia 2018, Euro 2020/1), I've decided that they will be primed and ready to go in Qatar next winter.

Also, can we go ahead and quit having World Cups and Olympics in countries that don't have existing infrastructure? The World Cup should basically rotate between the US/Canada/Mexico, Germany, Italy(perhaps?), and the UK. What the hell is Qatar going to do with these new stadiums they are building?

Yeah, I was a little surprised FIFA didn't pull it from Qatar after hearing how corrupt the voting process was. There are plenty of nations with plenty of stadiums that might need a facelift, but can handle a World Cup.

You're surprised the corrupt organization didn't do anything about their own corrupt selection process of deciding where to hold tournaments?

Typically how this has been working is the shitty country with the worst authoritarian leader makes the most bribes and gets to hold the event. The Russia World Cup should have been England's and the Qatar World Cup should have been the USA's. Too late now.

Euro 2024 will be in Germany and Timo Werner will still be garbage.

I think I was more surprised because the corruption came to light. Also, I thought Qatar was extremely behind building the stadiums and whatnot last year or the year before when all of this came to light.

Germany is in good hands with Hansi Flick. They'll get back to their normal top 3 in the world with him.

There is no going back with the Qatar World Cup. I don't plan on watching a single match. Total disgrace.

Time and luck ran out for the Germans yesterday, and I think the "England never beats Germany" narrative shrouded the idea that the result yesterday wasn't all that terribly surprising. This team made three tactical changes last week in the SECOND HALF. Against Hungary.

Germany's roster is going to look much different come Euro 2024. I don't think they will have any issues in 2022 qualifying when their toughest opponent is Iceland, but they'd better show up ready to take care of business this fall because they aren't the Germany that can just show up anymore. They have some guys who are pretty long in the tooth now and will be three years older at that when it rolls around. They're in a transition. The good news for them is they, and Bundesliga, develop talent as good as anyone on Earth.

Sounds like Sancho to United is all but finalized for €90 million with add ons. Pending medical.

He'll probably slide over to striker. He'll rotate with Cavani and Martial (if he doesn't get sold). Cavani will only be at United one more year. Martial is easily injured, so Greenwood will get plenty of time up top.

So much drama surround the France national team now.

Rabiot's mom (and agent) calling out Pogba and Mbappe's relatives after the Switzerland game.
Varane insulting Pavard.
Pavard blaming Pogba.
Mbappe and Griezmann tension.
Teammates thinking Mbappe tries to carry the team on his shoulders when he doesn't need to.
Giroud and Benzema not getting along (not new, they never have).

It's the French. They hate everyone, including themselves.

They did, but he's very young. He'll get some FA cup games and what not. It's nice to have him as depth if an injury occurs.

Technically he was purchased in the summer but didn’t arrive in Manchester until January. I’m thinking Rashford will have surgery after the Euros and either Greenwood or Sancho will start the season on the left. At that point Amad will be the backup RW.

Let's add to the French drama:

Griezman is super arrogant saying things like he saved the team again.
Teammates hate his ego.
Griezman upset with Benzema getting publicity
