Apparently the ND staff is STILL pursuing Kapron AND Forston. Goebel had mentioned that the staff told him that they wanted 5 DL, but I guess they didn't expect to dominate so much and they show no signs of stopping at 5 if another one wants to come on board. Kind of confusing, but oh well I guess...

I remember that Florida took a bunch of DL last year, with Trattou being #7 or 8. My feeling is that ND now has solid depth at every position and will use the remaining schollie's on _any_ position (except QB & TE) where they can land an elite player.

The word is that ND is recruiting Kapron at OLB rather than DE like most schools, which would be the reason that the Irish are still recruiting him hard, because if they don't land Sabino then Lewis-Moore would be their next option as the 5th LB.

I think that will come back and haunt florida in years to come. a couple of years from now they wont be able to hand out many schollies, hopefully that class will bring a lot of talent that florida will miss out on and CW and CB will pick it all up.

Aggies back on the board with Kapron Lewis-Moore
Defensive end Kapron Lewis-Moore committed to Texas A&M over several schools such as Oklahoma, Michigan, and Notre Dame.
"They [A&M] were the first one to offer. After all that, it just kind of hit me right there that A&M was the place for me. At first, I was kind of like, 'It doesn't matter if I go far away from home.' But as soon as I actually sat down and thought about it, I thought, 'Maybe, it's the best thing for me to stay close to home.'"
However, it may have been a visit during basketball season that meant the most to Lewis-Moore. "A&M came to three of my basketball practices and coach [Dennis] Franchione was the first coach on the open date up here. They just showed me the most support, came to the Timberview game when we clinched a spot in the playoffs. That stayed with me the whole time in the back of my mind."

Just as I thought would happen the coaching change at Texas A&M has caused ND to really start looking at Kapron again, and if Kapron doesn't care for the A&M's new coaching staff then expect ND to go after him very hard.

wow, this is the second other school commit that we may be pursuing again due to possible coaching changes. while I won't deny that another great athlete is good, with the recruits that are just about ready to commit (2-3), the 21 we already have, and any decommits from other schools we gain would pretty much rule out more than 1-2 5th years. (I'm not trying to re-start that discussion from another thread, just pointing it out!!!)

While I'm unsure if he'll officialy decommit Kapron is admitedly wide open right now. As of right now he's considering Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Colorado and Texas A&M.

He says he's been talking to ND a lot, and that he has set up a visit for Jauary 18th. From what I'm stold ND has a very good shot with him.

Final four ND, Texas( just recently gave him a verbal offer, which does hurt us a bit), Texas A&M and Kansas. I believe he will see all four schools before NSD.
