on rivals there is alot of talk about filer maybe already commiting, but i think people are reading into a post by pete sampson.which by the way is very encouraging to say the least.

Chicago is already Irish territory we own that place right now but we lost one guy from that area last year which was Tez if we had CB he would've been Irish no doubt.

The bus is getting full to some degree but we will have 3 early enrollee's like always. Weis has the remaining few scholarships for those guys he wants. Filer, Floyd, Baldwin, Robinson and others.

I agree, but the million dollar question is.......what to do with the four star player who may want to commit while we wait for the big guys. It's a game of chicken, and I don't like losing. My confidence is in CW, so I'm sure his gameplan is sound.

I'm hearing strong indications that Filer is Irish, but I haven't heard an announcement date or time.

I don't think he will commit today while he is here, he will probably go talk to his coaches and parents and whatnot and then make a decision but I think he is irish

I agree with Trippero, that this would totally make my day if we were to indeed land him. I'm sure CB, CW, and BC all didn their parts to get him to come to South Bend. I am really happy with the way players like Braxton Cave have demonstrated a will and determination to help in every aspect of the recruiting game. It will only help in the future when games are on the line and they'll have faith in one another as many have already formed a tight bond amongst themselves. I'm sure it helps having BC from the area, who knows what kinds of things there are to do around the Michiana area, which as a recruit can only help in terms of making a decision. Hopefully by the end of the day or even in the near future, we hear some great news!!!

I dont know if this is old news or not, but Filer is now a 5 Star prospect according to scout. com, im pretty sure he was only a four at some point.

the pete sampson thread about filer,i think is premium info. i don't want to break any rules. but if someone has a subscription to irish illustrated they can read it.

Filer is supposed to commit on Wednesday between us and Ohio State. I think he's Irish right now.

I can't wait for Wed. to get here. I really think Steve will commit to us. We're going to look really good in the very near future on the D side of the ball.
