Whats there to say? Everyone who had opinions/"news" on the kid before are telling the same story as before. Calm before the storm - he's still a Domer if ya ask me.

Hey he's a Catholic boy who gets to go to ND and play with his big bro...of course he is here!!! Man I can just see him returning punts....from all of his film the kids has the motion in the ocean. Rock-on-Irish!!!

Nothng wrong with having them both back there, but there will be one go to guy back there. And when Allen committed everyone was so excited to have him return punts. I was just asking if he thought McCarthy is more talented than Allen.

Allen hasn't been named a PR just yet - thats Zibby's job. Too early to be predicting the fates of two players that have never played a collegiate down.

That statement was in refrence to the posts when Allen commited about him returning punts.

340. Still a big guy.
Imagine our goal line formation in a few years with Schwapp at FB, Hughes at TB, and any three of awesome tight ends. We could also substitute a TE for Stewart and make him a FB or an extra tackle. Now, add that to how good our line should be in 2 years and we'll be unstoppable on the goal line. Scary stuff to think about for defenses, really.

------Rockne I hate to be such a downder, but you always hijack threads asking "Here anything about so and so?" and whatnot. Obviously that is what the player profiles are for. If you skim through it you will see what is their current status.

McCarthy doesn't have a set date when he'll announce. Everyone has been saying the 10th but it's still not set in stone. I was looking forward to tomorrow for his commitment but we'll see...

-------Yes I know, it's just that he does it everywhere. And asking whats new with him? on a profile just takes up space because if and when anybody hears anything they put it on the player profile. It's not a big deal I was just pointing it out so he knows.

Actually I'd rather see Allen doing KRs. But mixing up Mac and Allen on PRs, with Mac getting the bulk wouldn't hurt. Gotta keep the opposing teams guessing.

I think he's the other deep man for KRs. Plus, with all of that talent. I think he concentrates more on his secondary role. Who knows, when Mac is actually arrives on campus, who's to say Prince doesn't switch back to tailback or even receiver.

McCarthy will be announcing today. I have not heard a time reported. But I expect absolutely that Dan will be Irish when he announces.
