At least he'll get the shot to start somewhere. He's good a really solid frame for a QB kind of early Brady Quinn (but I don't think anybody can immitate Quinns body.) UCONN, RU, Miami, Louisville and East Carolina hmm. We should start a poll on where he'll end up out of those. Looking at this in a positive light at least it'll open up another scholarship ey?

I heard that now it looks like a RU and UConn battle. I don't know though if he goes to RU he won't start the first two years because he'll sit out the first one (because of the transfer rule) and his first real year of eligibility behind Teels Sr. year. That would give him 2 years to start there though and the guys they have behind him looked good in the spring game.

I thought Charlie wasn't going to let Zach transfer to a school on any of our future schedules (Rutgers 2010-2016)?

If my math is right Zach would be on their roster for the 2010 season.

Good luck to him. It's better for him that he was left off the list anyway. Hypothetically, lets say Claussen wins the job ... that means jones and sharpley waste another year of eligibility standing on the sidelines (barring any injuries). At least Zach has the opportunity to go somewhere else, sit a year and then play out his final three years.

In the past it was said that you could not trasfer to another school that we would play. So I don't see him going to RU. I hope he does not go to Miami since I don't like da u.

Weis has allowed him to seek a transfer and one of the schools is RU so Weis knows that. If Frazer wanted to go there he would have permission.

I only watched Rutgers a couple of times last year, but was NOT impressed w/ Teal. The way the announcers were describing Rutgers offense was that Teal was just being asked to not do anything to lose the game. But like I said, I'm just going by that limited exposure.

I agree, the few times I saw RU, Teal seemed more of a liability than anything.

Teel was TERRIBLE for half the year. The last quarter of the year against the toughest competition he flourished. He turned a corner and stopped being a "liability" and starting becoming a "force". I expect a BIG year out of him. He comes from Don Bosco 1 if not the best school in Nj. He really progressed in his first "full" year as started. He has two years left and will take the team to the next level. Remember Ray Rice carried that team on his back last year with no passing game. So, with a dangerous passing game this year and Rice getting better looks....Rutgers will be 110% better then last year.

Best of luck to him. With QB it always ends up with someone transfering. I have never heard a bad word about this kid so I think some program will get a quality individual.

Your math is correct. 2010 is his last year of eligibility in the 5 year window.

In today's football world, any qtrbk. is blessed to play 2 full years in that positiion. Clausen or Jones may be the exceptions should either one of them start in "07.....there are few Brady Quinn calibre players out there.
