Numa Numa Omar Hunter....wheres IUB when u need him

Thanks for thinking of me ND23. Actually, I was in the car, and thanks to the wonders of modern technology, (you kids don't know how good you have it) and the wonders of text messaging, I knew at 6:02 that Big Omar was Irish, so I immediately put a little NUMA NUMA on the radio, thanks to another wonder of modern technology, the iPod.

Geez, I don't know how we made it this long without all these modern gizmos.

MY FIRST POST!!! YAY!

I am so stoked... I say this guys film for the first time the other day and it was the best I had seen. This guy is incredible, he will definitely make a huge impact. How is he only a 3 star on scout? Great pick-up, and all these great d-lineman help out the offensive line because it means all those o-line switches can go back to offense. It all starts with the line, and we are building a great one.

First off, welcome to IrishEnvy, KP. As far as his star rating, many people are assuming that it is a three star pre-evaluation. Once Scout starts giving out their actually star rankings expect this beast to at least be a high four star, considering his impressive offer list.

Well, there's no doubt about it. The CB and CW recruiting tandem is AWESOME baby!!! We just need to translate this talent to performance on the field and then enjoy the mahem this defensive talent can create.

It's funny that you said that Stone because I made it my first signature ever 5 minutes ago. I GOT COPYRIGHT ON IT!

-------Anyway, just in case anybody didn't know the extent of his great offer list...He had offers from LSU, Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida Michigan, Ohio State, Clemson, Florida State, and Virginia Tech.

In that article you posted IrishKnight it says that Hunter is part of the Rivals 250. I figured he was, but the article confirms it. Also he is currently # 87 on the ESPN 150.

OK a few things here. One, congratz Omar, I hope that things will be easier for you now that you have made your choice. Recruiting can be fun but it can also cause a lot of discomfort. ND will offer everything to you from family to friends, to education past football to the memories you will share with your kids.

IUB, I was talking with family and friends about how good kids have it today and something that I do not recall was brought up, shared phone lines. How would you like to pick up the phone and not be able to talk because your neighbor from a block away was on the phone. Now that would really upset all the daughters across america. Then again that is how gossip travled so fast long ago.

Oh and one last thing the numma song is very very irratating.

Go Irish and Welcome aboard Mr Omar hunter.

Congrats guys.

Like that popular saying goes, the friend of my enemy is my friend. :)

I'm guessing you guys like taking recruits from scUM as much as we do(especially those which they consider locks).

Theres only one thing better than stealing a recruit from Michigan and thats taking one from tOSU.

Man, it's such a relief to see us actually getting help on the D-Line. Great to see.

Well, besides echoing what everyone else has said, I'm absolutely going to love not having to worry about the DL heading into NSD.

I hated having to "hope" that some guys would come in and commit with the class of 2008 -- I really like having two of our biggest weaknesses, LB and DL, pretty much already set heading into the season and NSD next Feb. Now if we can add two or three national recruits on the defensive side of the ball -- Fortson and Sabino would be great, and Brown/Hill would be incredible -- I think we'd be taking major steps for a national championship in the next 2-4 years.

One who in 2008 will be headed to Notre Dame on a football scholarship. Hunter, considered by CSTV analyst Tom Lemming to be the nation's best nose tackle, on Monday became the 14th player to verbally commit to Notre Dame's recruiting class of 2008.

-------------Haha gotta love Lemming.

"When you're 6-1, 300 and you can dunk a basketball, you're a pretty good athlete," said Jess Simpson, Hunter's coach at Buford (Ga.) High School. "He's an athlete trapped in a big man's body."............whhaat?? He can dunk?
