Any predictions on our kicking game next year?

Yeah it's going to be worse then ever...with them making the kickoff longer and we just can't make field goals. BRANDON WALKER SAVE US.

I don't know much about Walker or Burkhardt, but having 2 kickers on scholarship....one of them better show something!!!

I know that this thread isn't about kick returns, but did anyone else always hope that there wasnt a fumble on the kick returns last year. I didn't even care if we got the ball on or own 5 to start as long as we didn't fumble. I just hope that Golden Tate or Armando Allen can have that same type of Rocket Ismael/Allen Rossum effect on kick returns.

And our returns have got to be more productive. Our great irish teams of 80s and 90s had strong returners. Ya think that would help this squad too ???

I'd like to believe you, but I'm just not sure I can. None of these guys could beat out Goia last year, and unless one of them has a miracle comeback, it's hard to see a place for immediate improvement, cept with a true, untested freshmen coming in. This whole topic gives me the willies, can we talk about the new defense or something?

I gotta strong feeling that JC is gonna start. I hope our OL jells fast, our running game kicks butt, and our receivers can get open. If they don't, our new and improved D had better be as good as we hope. Anything else I'm missing?

Did any of you go to the B&G game...I did.........they (as in all and I do mean all) suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked one kid was practicing (he definately needed it) and made 1 of 20 they were missing from the 10 freeking yrd line!!!!!!

I have to agree. We didn't replace our kicking/special teams coach, and our kickers regressed last year. Coach Polian is obviously a great recruiter but doesn't seem to be the greatest coach. I'm plenty optimistic about our punter and hope he's an All American next year. But kicking? Yipes.

we need to look at Drew Alleman from Acadiana High School in Lafayette, Louisiana..he'll be a senior this year..he kicked the game winning field goal last year to win the class 5a state title

this kid can do it all...kickoffs [both squib and deep], field goals, punts

brandon walker will start...hes training hard now and is 2/2 from 60+ and 3/3 from 50...not only that but now hes working on accuracy, and as of the blue gold game day he hadnt taken any kicks down the middle..all on the hash marks

Hmm ... that's cool. I thought I'd heard Walker was recruited primarily as a punter, but I guess I was wrong, or have things changed?

This year we kick a touchback every play.....with 50 mile per hour wind in our favor.... unless of course b walk is the sh*t how people say

LOL. I guess they'd let us throw off if we could also use a nerf football.

We could try to onside kick it everytime. That way our defense would only give up about half the yards/game as last year.
