Will Hill has been as quiet as a church mouse on his recruiting. The "experts' say that ND does not have a chance on Hill, although it must be based on inside information, because "The Thrill" is not talking. The experts also say Rutgers has a really good shot at Hill. If Schiano gets Hill, who is likely to be the consensus #1 prospect of the 2008 class, then you will know for sure that Rutgers has arrived into the top of the big time. Hill is going to be an NSD or shortly before announcement.

Me being from Nj i think those #7 pic's are from his soph. year against Bosco(Trattou) in the state championship game in which he won...JR. year he lost to them. At first it was beleived that he wanted to get out of Jersey, but he has been seen numerous times at Rutgers practices and JR days. He will definently announce very late and Rutgers will definently need to get into a BCS bowl for him to even consider them.

Rivals has finally re-classified Hill from Dual-Threat QB to Athlete. Hill is basically being told by every college that is recruiting him that he can pick whatever skill position he wants to play.

Spoke with my friend from St. Peter's Prep this past weekend. He was at the same party Will Hill was at (FYI Will does not drink). My buddy asked The Thrill about his recruitment and said his top 3 are USC, Florida, and ND in no particular order. Should be interesting but it's going to be a long haul. I guess the upside here is he can come in and play wherever he wants and Charlie is a Jersey guy.

I don't by the top 3 I've read Rivals and they say WE HAVE NO SHOT. I think he's a lock for SC.

Ah, irishfan81, can I ask you a question. Has Will Hill ever done anything to you? I don't know where the bad attitude or the trouble with the LAPD, or the 0.1% chance is coming from, but I sure hope Hill never reads your last 2 posts. If he does, I hope he ignores them, because I am sure the vast majority of Irish fans would love to see a "Jersey guy" of Hill's ability at Notre Dame.

Also, it would be kind of nice to show some factual support or any reason at all for your opinion that Hill has a "bad attitude", or that he is type that would "get in trouble with the LAPD."

You don't hear of many Jersey kids get kicked out or arrested in college do you? People here understand their opportunities and he is a long way off from even thinking of commiting somewhere. He's a standup player and not begging for attention as he keeps his recruitment tight lipped and I always will respect someone like that. SPP is a great football school with a good coach so he's not running wild here.

Hill's recruitment is getting comical. I ask one guy about our odds, and we're strongly in the mix, at least top 3. I listen to Mike Frank, and he says our goose is cooked, that he's anyone's but ND. I'm treating this one like another Jersey product in Beal; I don't have a clue what he's doing, and I'll save myself the trouble of getting hopes up, until further notice.

I don't mean this to be rude, but where are you getting this from? His GPA? The way he looks in photographs? What's he said/done that screams "character issues" to you? Its one thing to have reservations, but you've pretty much made accusations, so it'd be nice to see a little more background with regards to what gave you such an impression.

So, because he's a Jersey kid and goes to prep school, he must be going to get his grades 'in order' and he has to have character issues? Don't accuse someone of poor character if you can't substantiate it. Doing so would be... a poor showing of character.

Not to beat a dead horse, but I am from NJ and haven't heard of any off the field issues concerning Hill. It is not like he transferred his senior year to St Peter's Prep or went to a JUCO college to become academically eligible..... St Peter's has a decent reputation in the area....
