OK, no one's satisfied w/ 10-3, and we're all happy w/ how far we've come. But what were your favorite moments from this season (game or non game)? Here are mine:

1. I finally attended a game with my dad (ND '51). Last year I realized I should do it fairly soon as he's 78 years old. So, I organized a family trip to the Air Force game.

2. Tailgating for the first time in years, and for the first time w/ my whole family. Tailgating in the pine grove with the Rockies in the background is almost as good as tailgating in the Bend.

3. Having my 67-year-old mom who knew nothing about football until my brother started at ND In 1987, bitch about what a complete jerk Troy Smith was.....How he wasn't that good a football player, and how his criminal past made him unworthy of the Heisman. I use my mom as a barometer when I pass judgment on things football. I figure, if a retired, football-illiterate woman can tell it's bullsh*t, then it probably is.

4. Terrail Lambert's interception against MSU. Gave me hope.

UCLA game.

At that point, we still had a slim to none chance at the NC, but it was still a chance.

I was thinking that game also, but I thought after the Michigan State we would start steamrolling teams.

Me too bro. Never really happened, but it was nice to see after the let down against Michigan the game before.

I think the UCLA game showed ND's poise and that never say die attitude. I loved it, but where was that attitude for the LSU game?

Watching ND pound PSU, the MSU comeback, and the last play of the UCLA game...plus the added joy of watching tOSu get their ass handed to them by UF. Not an ND moment but still one of the best moments of the college football season.

1. the MSU comeback. watching in the dorm, and after the game, sprinting out to north quad and dancing in stonehenge with hundereds of others.

2. ending of the UCLA game. that was just crazy. and amazing.

3. the Army game, especially the end. with the Beat SC chanting at the end, I just had goosebumps. as corny as this sounds, I'd never felt the ghosts of ND's past quite as much before. I had never felt so confident that ND was going to win. too bad it didn't turn out too well.

4. the Penn St. game. first home game as a student, and winning like that was just really great.

My number one favorite moment was the PSU game mainly because all my friends are PSU fans. Too bad for them that day, but I had a great time. The MSU comeback would be my second because I was bombed by the second half and couldn't believe what I was watching.

Congrats on going with your family! I hope to do the same soon.
1) Lambert's pick against MSU
2) Shark's TD against UCLA

Mine too! Living in PA, I have to listen to all the PSU hub-hub every weekday and weekend. I have the picture of Ndukwe separating Derrick Williams from the ball and a picture of the scoreboard at game's end hung up at work. Any time I hear PSU fans griping about ND, I just point to those two pictures.

I was at the UCLA game, so I have to vote first for that because of proximity. After the 4th down sneak was snuffed we all thought it was over. Then on 3rd down before our last possession I told the UCLA fans in front of me if they throw, they win. Thank god for conservative playcalling.

Seeing the Samardzija play from the endzone, Brady's pump fake was sic. Jeff's catch and run was slow motion amazing.

My number 2 is also the MSU comeback, I hate those f'ers.

An honorable mention 'coulda, woulda shoulda' moment was the Ndukwe interception in the 1st quarter vs. Michigan. After that pick-six to start the game by the Skunkbears, returning the favor just felt like we were taking back control of a game we were destined to win. Oops.

To me the best moment had to be Quinn to Samardzija for the game winning TD against UCLA, the best game was the MSU game.

1) Terrail Lambert's INT against MSU....will NEVER forget almost crying. Then when I saw the MSU fan's faces i started laughing, really cracking up.

2) Getting the call on my cell while I was out to dinner from a friend who was at the UCLA game and the game had just finished and he called me to tell me that the Irish won.

3) Having a party for the PSU game w/my friends...that was the best choice of a game.

4) Wearing ND (specifically Green) Shirts for 6 days straight after the Army game, then wearing my Gallup #21 jersey for the SC game and walking into one of my aunt's neighbors yards and crying after they lost...my mom wasn't happy with me for that.

5) Going to the Michigan game and getting to meet all the guys I've interviewed and talked to over email and IM...and going to a private band practice on gameday courtesy Jon Thompson (WSBT 960 AM).

6) Watching Dietler.net highligh vids...classics

7) Not doing any homework on Sugar Bowl day, and then losing the game plus having to make it all up the next day.

8) Being proud that I personally knew someone starting (Sam) and living the football team

9) Having a $10 bet on the MSU ND game with a jerk at school who's cousin goes to MSU, and him calling me halfway through the game. I hung up, then after the game called him back and laughed at him.

10) Finally making it to HS so I got facebook, and can keep contact with all these guys...recruits/players

LOL When my brother was in highschool, there was a guy who hated ND, so they bet $5 every week on ND's games. It was in '89 so my brother won every week. :pepper: It was hilarious.

The UCLA moment has great but hard (My whole fam. supports my Irish love but they are ALL Bruins, ALL OF THEM!)...

My personal fav. moment is still to come... the moment when the Cleveland Browns take Brady in the draft... I'll be a happy man

I"m thinking that might not happen.
