Locked in for a visit to ND Saturday - per Loy.

I don't see an immediate flip; but a good visit will put the Irish in a good position to eventually land him - imo.

Well if that's his journey you can't pick many schools better for that route than UCLA and ND... Both good at football... Both have supportive bases in differing ways, both good schools.

I think the path and the logic are clear. You have to recruit his ego.

With Beal reportedly heading to UGa, Echols would most likely be the jewel of ND's D-Line this recruiting cycle. As discussed before, he's in Jaelen Phillips shadow at UCLA. No better way to stick it to UCLA and SC than to go to ND, come back into town every other year like a rockstar and be seen every Saturday in every house in America. That happens while all your buddy's friends at the LA schools' families are calling their cable provider b!tching why they don't receive the PAC-12 channel.... but yet can watch reruns of Northwestern - Minnesota ad nauseam.

Yessir. I am on board with this statement. i just watched the II film on Rivals. kid has CRAZY foot speed and very advanced technique. I really hope we get him but that said, he HAS to gain AT LEAST 20 lbs of good weight to see the field at the college level. College OT's would knock him on his a$$ with one quick shot at his current stature

With his frame and the fact that he hasn't even begun his Sr. year in HS I'd say he should have no problem getting to the 250-260 range by FR. year at ND. If he comes here of course.
