ND has to be the favorite here but don't count this guy in just yet. I can see a huge spring game with this being a possible commit.

Floyd is favoring ND right now over anyone else he just seems to be more open then some ND fans think.

yeah he is very open, he doesnt even want to say he has a top 5 now. Theres a scout article on his visit to ND and his mom liked it, but he seems very open and looks like he might camp at florida in the summer and i just think that will just about do it for floyd.

I don't think he'll end with florida just a feeling, I like ND's chances here.

I don't really like ND's chances with anyone that is really attracted to the idea of going to OSU. But that's just me...

Floyd is looking to reduce the number of schools that he is considering down to 10, and lists Notre Dame, Minnesota, OSU, Florida, & Michigan as 5 of the 10 schools on his pared down list.

Has a new top 5 of Notre Dame, OSU, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Michigan.....I'd say i can't see him at Iowa or Wisconsin so i would make it mostly as of NOW a OSU/ND battle...but he will be camping at Florida in the summer so who knows...they might throw a barbacue for him

Does he plan on announcing his decision early or are we looking at a date close to National Signing Day? Does anyone have any info?

FROM THE MOUTH OF MICHAEL FLOYD: He said that Notre Dame are first on his list, "I've more visits to Notre Dame than any other school to this point", said Floyd. "I love the tradition, the people, and the coaching staff. I would also really like to play for Coach Charlie Weis," Floyd told KStateFans.com

This is good to read. But, ND needs a bigtime stud receiver -- one that defenses have to account for on every play. I think we've got a lot of nice possession receivers, or speedy little guys who can run after the catch, but we don't have that one guy who can do it all. I want a 6-5 guy who can bust through the bump on the line, run a 20-yard route in like 2 seconds, stop on a dime, pull down an acrobatic catch, stop defenders in their tracks with a quick move, and then kick in that 4.3 or 4.4 speed and outrun everyone to the endzone. Where is that guy? Is Floyd that guy? I've seen a little film on him and thought he was good, but he didn't leave me feeling like he was THAT guy. Who are the great wideouts in this class? It seems like it shouldn't be that hard to recruit WRs at ND these days, especially with CW as coach and JC as the QB.

GoIrish, you are describing Jerry Rice and Terrel Owens. There are VERY, VERY few receivers that can do that..ever in college.

haha. Those guys played in college too. If memory serves, they both went to small schools, partly because none of the big time programs discovered them. I just want us to go find this year's Rice or Owens so they play for the Irish instead of some Div II school. too much to ask? Calvin Johnson comes to mind. If he would have been in CW's offense with Quinn throwing to him, can you imagine the damage he would have done. He was pretty darn good with a bad QB. I'm just saying, I would think it would be easier to attract top tier QBs in our offense.

Michael recently trimmed his list down to a top ten. They are Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan, Florida, Miami, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, and UCLA. He also said that ND, and Miami are recruiting him the hardest and he might camp again at ND this summer, plus he definately wants to come to the ND home game vs. USC, and he also wants to see a Florida home game. He might also visit O$U, UM, and Wisconsin this summer, but he doesn't have any plans to visit Nebraska, or UCLA at any time.

It's the order in which they were mentioned in a recent article about Michael. Iowa was not mentioned, but they are the other team on his list and since he seems to have low interest in UCLA and Nebraska I just slotted Iowa in before them.
