I just got back.....the f-ck happened to the Red Sox. 6 runs in the 8th and 9? Oh boy...that is a bad loss.
What did the whitesox do tonight?
Things like blowing a 6 run lead in the bottom of the 9th isn't "ebb and flow." It's "cataclysmic failure."
They gave up SEVEN runs in the bottom of the 9th.
OMG...the more I read about today's loss pisses me off.
Let's do something else.
It is 164 game season. May
Until I see a reason to keep Ventura as the manager, that's just 112 games of misery to go. I can't keep watching games where no lead whatsoever is safe, because the manager doesn't know when to keep or pull pitchers. If we somehow manage to start playing playoff baseball, I'll gladly eat the crow, but he hasn't shown the capability to do so since he arrived, so why would he start now?
Is Robin really your issue...not the team on the field?
Yes....Yes he is. Any White Sox fan can validate my opinion. He's arguably the worst manager in the sport. He brings little to nothing to the table. The fact that he's still managing this squad after 4 terrible seasons is a mystery to us all. I'd chalk it up to a fluke if this was the first time something like this happened, but it's been a staple since Ventura took over.
This is a team with Latos in the rotation and a suspect bullpen.. Is Ventura a good manager.. no, but if they had hired Ron Gardenhire instead, they still wouldn't be a playoff team
I'm taking a sanity break from the Sox for a few days, and hopefully read Kenny and Robin were burned alive in a dumpster fire when I come back.
Even with the trade for Shields, I don't think this is a playoff team.. Suspect hitters, all in the .240-.290 range, Extremely suspect bullpen (The Tigers have owned the bullpen the last two games) and with exception of Q, Sales and now Shields.. I don't trust anyone else in that Rotation... They are a .500 team, but hopefully with experience they can take the next step next year
The longer Ventura stays, the worse this organization will be in the long run. I just listened to his press conference after the 2nd loss to Washington....that is the voice of a man who clearly has no flipping idea what he's doing.
I was actually speechless at how incompetent and carefree Ventura spoke. It's like he doesn't even give a rat's ass. Losing is contagious and we have a manager that enables losing.
Morneau's worth a shot. Seems to me he batted .600+ at Comiskey.
