this,

Honestly, I make a salsa that would apparently put ptk in the ground...

-thee/four tomatoes
-10 or so serrano peppers (not cored or anything)
-1-2 hatch green chiles
-little garlic
-little lime juice
-little diced onion (optional)
-little salt

roast the first three, blend, add the rest... it's SO good but it's lethal hot for those who aren't spicy food nuts like myself.

10 Serrano peppers? Are use not 5 or so? We normally use about 5 and it is blazing and we love the spicey food

chimmichuri is great on stuff like grilled tri tip...

I love A1... it astounds me how either side (both are guilty) reacts to A1... to. each. their. own.

For me, if I go somewhere and they don't have A1... I'll just have a burger please... unless it's like Prime Rib or something.

To me it is a matter of quality. If I am having a high quality ribeye, keep that A1 away from me. If I was having a steak at Chilis or Applebees, then A1 completely makes sense (though I still might not use it). It is kind of like when I see someone order a filet mignon well done. They might as well just order the sirloin at that point.

Now chimmichuri on a grilled tri-tip is wonderful.

I have to have it for Rib Eye too... IDK could be my upbringing... we've discussed in the past I grew up pretty poor... while some here think A1 is beneath them, apparently.. that stuff was like a status symbol for the higher classes for me when I was a kid... whenever we made it out to Sizzler or some such I'd basically drink the stuff (We never had it at home)... to this day I can't have any steak, excluding Prime Rib and MAYBE mignon without it... I've passed up free steaks in the past over lack of A1.

again, just me.

I'm this way with a lot of hot sauces too, must have this with a burrito, must have that with grits... A1 is like the only non-spicy sauce, that is that much of a must.

Juice is another thing that has stuck with me... we NEVER could afford juice... now as an adult, we raid the juice section every time we go grocery shopping completely at my directive... Welch's Grape will always hold a place in my heart.

I would never joke about shit as serious as A1

So you go ham at Costco for A1?

In all seriousness, I tend to use A1 as a saving grace for a terrible steak. A1 has redeeming qualities. But never on a high quality steak, like a prime dry aged porterhouse, that would be blasphemous in my house.

But more power to you.

And you had steak as a kid at Sizzler? Damn, it was salad bar only for me because they handed out free salad coupons for "student of the month" in our district. haha

haha,... The area of Cali I grew up in was within quick driving distance of LA and all that but our actual town had basically nothing but a Sizzler and a few Mexican spots... I remember when Red Robin opened up here when I was in like the the 7th grade, we were so exicted to have a 'high class joint'... really...

anyway, yeah, i have fond memories of the sizzler salad bar and occasional steak. That was our birthday spot for pretty much all of my childhood.

See if I go somewhere and the steak isn't good enough to eat without A1, I don't order steak.

Love it on potatoes.

Presently, as a general rule I don't order any sirloin regardless of what they have with or on it. I really only like rib eye and prime... I'll personally take rib eye over other higher end cuts... just me.

Go find a taco truck

I would totally go tonight, but I ate so poorly over the weekend that I need to lay off the goodies for a few days. Like, last night, I felt like a glutton. lol I had a burger that was a blend of brisket, chuck and bone marrow for lunch. Then for dinner I made short ribs on the grill and dessert was carrot cake. Weekend for sure hitting that up though.

There is also this newish place that opened up called Fat Sal's in Hollywood. Had a Fat Jerry on Sat. It was good but damn it was gluttonous.

Fat Sal's Deli | We're Makin Sandwiches Over Here!

Here is the description of the Fat Jerry: cheesesteak | chicken fingers | mozzarella sticks | crisp bacon | fried eggs | fries | mayo | ketchup | salt & pepper| on a hero

Making veggie fajitas later this week on that note... amazing substitute for red meat and such. Pretty much everything you'd usually have with fajitas except you take all meat out and use quarter, length wise, slices of zucchini...
