Max Williams is one of our favorite corners in the 2019 class and always performs at a high level.

He had a solid showing at the Future 50 and is one of the most skills and technically sound corners in this year's class. You won't anyone more competitive and he plays with a lot of confidence every time out.

"I had a good time, this was a great experience for me," Williams said following the event. "It was fun to come up against some different receiver from other parts of the country and have a guy like Deion Sanders coaching us up, that was pretty cool too."

Williams will be coming out with a top 10 soon but gave us a couple of schools that will definitely make the cut.

"I'm not ready to put my list out but Oklahoma, Oregon, USC, Notre Dame and Alabama are a few schools I'm high on and like a lot.

Now that we're allowed to take official visits early in the process, I'm close to setting some dates with Oklahoma and Notre Dame for the spring.

"I've been talking with coach Cooks at OU and coach Polian at Notre Dame so those will probably be the first two I take.

I'm not planning to make an early commitment right now, I want to play the process out and I'll decide late in the process."

Williams is a four-star prospect rated the No. 87 player nationally in the 247Sports Composite.

Was hoping he would take his visit as late as possible for ND sake but exciting to hear he's getting to campus. Go get em Lyght and the new DC

It wouldn't be the sole reason he's sign with ND. Notre Dame winning has helped them get guys before; Greg Bryant is one that sticks out. I'm sure going 12-0 didn't hurt when it came to recruiting Redfield either.

I recall reading that it helped win us Houston Griffith in particular. I also don't think it's a coincidence that Kelly's highest-ranked recruiting class was 2013.
