I want to know what would have happened if Bonzie didnt have his awful turnover and Steve didn't have a moving screen.

Man, that's a parallel universe I'd love to be in right now...

Unlike last year, this is not a game we "should have won." They've been in control since we took the lead at 52-51. We lost to a better team, move on and build an outstanding practice facility.

We'll see how they do against Syracuse, but they are probably the best team in the country.

Fuck that!!! We couldn't buy a foul!

Good season. UNC has only looked better and better as the year has gone on. Back to back Elite 8s is big time even though next year is probably a rebuilding here -- we have zero size.

I enjoyed listening to the talk during the timeout about VJ's work overseas and how it helped his rebounding, and then watching him not attack the ball on free throws.

Oh well. Good game. Lost to a better team. We played pretty well all things considered.

I haven't looked at the box score, but I'd love to see the scoring breakdown.

On a side note, I love the love Brice Johnson and Auguste showed to each other before, during, and after the game. Much respect.

Brice Johnson played ridiculous. Just my opinion, but the way he played, I'm not sure a team in the country could have beat them today (or the last round against IU, even more so). Short of Hield, he is the most influential player on his team and their performance.

Great year.

Frustrating as hell but they have alot more size and talent. Proud as hell of this team for getting in the elite 8 again. Hopefully we can start recruiting a little better too

Great job by Coach Brey and the team. We really found ways to win despite our youth, and lack of depth especially with "the bigs". This team made it a lot further than I thought they could. Getting deep into the tourney in back to back years...great job by Coach.

Both teams overachieved. One more big on both squads would have had a dramatic impact.

Demetrius Jackson is a god damned warrior. I hope to hell he's back next year. We've had some great players come through the program recently. It's been a blast.

That's a top five team.

What is the chance Thon Maker chooses ND?

Yea, but we seem to say that every year.

Barring a Jerian Grant type ejection, we'll end up, somehow, making a run at something.

Thought the team played as well as they could offensively, and I thought the defensive effort was actually pretty good. Unlike Michigan, where we just gifted them scoring opportunities for a whole half, UNC simply ran really good offense (and when they didn't they got rebound and made tough shots).

I thought our only chance to win was to play offense like that AND either get favorable officiating or have UNC have an off night. Neither of the latter happened. We're not going to beat a team that is that much better than us when they execute at an A+ level.

On an unselfish note... I hope Jackson goes pro and doesn't make the same mistake Scottie Reynolds did when he came back to Villanova, had a down year, and then went from a lottery pick to undrafted.

Thon is visiting in April so we shall see how he feels then. He does care about academics too a little. Also seems like Brey indicated that Jackson is gonna declare in his post game presser

Can Fleuger not do anything on offense? Does he have any skills on offense? I don't want much ND basketball and am being serious.

You forgot a P in front of his name but in seriousness he is limited right now on what he can do offensively. He isn't strong enough or quick enough to get to rim quite yet but he can throw it down when he does. He can hit 3s too but doesn't shoot much. Probablyj ist needs more time and confidence

Carolina is just damn good. Defensively, Carolina has the size and athletes to alter shots at the rim but, they are strong on the ball as well. There is no shame in battling that team. DJ was outstanding. Beachem could be on an all-ACC team next year. Brey did what he could to keep it close, I just think they burned the shot clock about 5 seconds too long and got caught taking tough shots. They hit them in stretches but, it also gave Carolina consecutive stops which in turn allowed them to get out in transition some. Obviously they owened the glass as well. For Carolina to shoot 60% and be pushed is a testament to the tougness Brey has preached. Here's hoping DJ comes back for one last ride.
