Got offered as expected. Brother of Auburn QB Sean White. Loy & Wiltfong with quick CB's.

Film matches offer list more than ratings. Looks like 247's the only one who has looked at him sober. Doesn't have ideal size but 11+ minutes of highlights against STA's schedule doesn't lie.

Really only a two star on rivals?

Offer list alone would be a three star

Would we really take him and Adams in the same class?

The staff wants to take 3-4 linebackers in this class. After watching White's and Adams' film, I think White has more speed and could probably play SAM or WILL; for Adams, I think he is your prototypical MIKE

Smaller LB but loos like he has plenty of room to fill out, a nose for the ball, and an excellent motor. Also looks to have solid speed. I like the offer and maybe he can help ND become more involved at STA.

Really! Some don't understand why the Irish go after a guy like this. Why not?

Look at his film. He manhandles blockers. Abuses running backs, and is in a boatload of tackles. On the defensive highlights where he isn't making a tackle, it is because he is destroying a blocker with an inside out angle on him, while maintaining outside contain!

Two blocked punts returned for TDs? This guy is a special teams star the minute he steps on campus! Remember he can really block in the open field. This kid would be an upgrade to his counterpart on any special teams team, right now!

His speed and quickness are there. He is already strong with great leg drive. He was the only guy I saw out there fighting through blockers, making the tackle, and still putting the runner on his back!

And if he didn't knock him on his ass, looks like he totally manhandled a bunch of decent running backs. Looks like he picked a couple up, not too much smaller than himself, and shook 'em like rag dolls, before they hit the turf.

This guy has brolic, and a whole lot of versatility if he is as fast as he looks.

This is a classic example of where the ratings system fails. Kid looks like he has a frame to add some muscle. Only thing I can think of is if he is (much) shorter than advertised.

Scout: he really liked the coaching staff and may decide this summer. He missed most of 2015 with a foot injury. Scout feels he is a high 3*/low 4*, solid athlete. Most schools are waiting to see him in action again

How can 247 have him as ILB #10 and Rivals have him as a 2*???

Bigger shock is, how does a guy have this much variation while attending STA in the Recruitnik / HS Camp-combine / 7v7 era? I think they've put more guys into DI football than any other school in the country. It's a Top 10 program at worst. It's not like he's playing 8 man ball in Eastern Montana. Everybody's looking at him and no one agrees, ESPN hasn't even rated him.

All that might be a big red flag on other occasions but like I said above, 11+ minutes of highlights against Aquinas' schedule just doesn't lie.

247 is the closest, and I don't even think that 89 rating does him justice. Like Hinish, White is the Troy Pride of his respective position. They play quality competition, have very impressive film, great measurables yet aren't ranked very high.

I think the injury factors in a bit, but this is a 93-95 level guy we're looking at here. Mid-high 4-star in a talent-deep state.

In regards to the injury. He only missed the last 2 games of the season.

He finished with 59 tackles (led the team), 50 solo. 12.5 TFL, 3 sacks, 1 safety and very interestingly... 5 blocked punts. Always looking for a difference maker on ST's with a nose for the ball to pass the time until they are ready to step into the rotation as a Jr. or Sr.

Look at this guy's offer list! With a good senior year this guy should move way up the list!

I'm seeing Danny Spond. Which is a very good thing. Kid plays with very good pad level. A bit smallish, great motor and nose for the ball.

I just saw your post. Reps, sir!

You have a great point! I actually wondered if I should click on submit reply on mine.

I agree 1000 million percent with you. Drew is another Danny, and has the utility that Spond did! Hopefully, he will have the heart, leadership that Danny does. Because Danny was a (pretty much) unsung hero of the '12 defense, and a primary reason Jaylon Smith got off to the fast start he did in his freshman year.

My bringing up Greer Martini, was a tongue-in-cheek reference to the Greer wars, at the Martini Bar, as of late. And there is a comparison between Greer and Drew on one serious level : I think both are extremely under appreciated by the recruiting services. So much so that the recruiting services grades on both are ridiculously low!

Is it me, or is his offer list/ranking out of whack? If her really has offers from LSU, Michigan, Ohio St, Arkansas, etc., then it doesn't make sense that he is a 2 star with rivals.

Cardinal rule : Nothing in recruiting makes sense, (sooner or later, usually sooner than later.)

And yes, his offer list and ratings are out of whack. It will be interesting to see how they change, especially if he has another great season, at STA.
