I've got a friend who's in South Bend tonight and will make a beer run for me, so quick!!:

What are some Indiana beers I want to score (besides Zombie Dust)?

Also 3 Floyds Artic Panzer Wolf and Dreadnaught. Gumballhead is pretty good as well.

thx. I had Dreadnaught and Gumballhead on the list. I didn't have Panzer. Will add.

Saw positive reviews for 18th Street's Bitches Bank, too -- Russ Imp Stout.

Don't forget Alpha King. Damn good beer. 18th street brewery seems to get good reviews. Also Upland brewery if you like sours.

Celebrating my good beer fortune with a 2012 Great Divide Hibernation Ale. Nice. Toffee on the nose, malty, almost a little woody, slightly sweet aftertaste.

Westmalle Tripel. It's been too long since I've had a good Trappist ale, let alone a Tripel

Domaine Bertagna Burgundy 2013. Earthy, a little bit of strawberries and blackberries. Nice. The next few days will be good, wine and beer-wise

So, is this a "try" or "meh"? can't believe it's bad.

First impression (2 bottles, one in an IPA glass and one in a pint glass) is meh. I will try again tomorrow or Saturday to make sure that my palate wasn't off. Generally I love Sculpin so I was surprised by it. I really liked the nose (A-) with nice pineapple, citrus and some pine bitterness under it all, but the palate fell short to me especially at the price. I will post some notes next time I have it tomorrow or Saturday.

I like Sculpin, too. It sounds like the smell is great, but that's a lot of threads to pull together. Sometimes, even with good brewers, their reach exceeds their grasp. Too cute by half.

Agreed. Could have been my palate tonight as well. I am a big believer in giving things a second chance.

Phase 2: PKT inspired me: Grapefruit Sculpin. A really nice beer, as some of you know.

Damn. My friend could score "only" a Zombie Dust. I mean, that's the one I'd pick, if I could get just one, but I had high hopes. Oh, well. That's why we keep an inventory. (This was a place on Grape Road, if you know Mishiwaka/SB.)

City Wide? I've always had good luck there with everything except Zombie Dust.

At least you got some Zombie Dust!

Knee Deep Hopariilo Triple IPA 11.1% 122 IBU

Lots of citrus (grapefruit, orange and lemon) along with pine, and just a touch of malt (also a touch of onion on the nose). It is bitter with some grapefruit rind, and piney bitterness but not overwhelming especially considering the IBUs. This is the 3rd or 4th time that I have had it and while I enjoy it, I find that it is just not quite as good as Knee Deep Simtra. Still, if you haven't had it, it is worth trying.

Drank the Enjoy By 2/14/16, the black IPA version as well. Both very good. Love the unfiltered approach

Yeah, apparently, he has a big shipment coming in that included my items, which included a number of your and PKT's suggestions. But a sixer of ZD is a win any day. I've scored there about the half the time, but, understand, I get there once or twice a year, so it's really "shot in the dark" stuff and not a good gauge of how often they have it.
