Anyone else not digging the new update? I really don't like the fact that I never get a shield and slowly get resources and trophies drained throughout the day while I'm at work. Seriously considering not playing anymore due to the "effort" the new update forces you into to keep more active. Wondering if anyone else feels the same way.

Its this stupid PBT its a cumulative 3 hours without a shield and it never seems to reset after 30 minutes like its supposed to. But hey they're pushing it to 4 hours and supposedly fixing the non reset bug of course it's still cumulative so if you've got a strong base your screwed.

Yup can't say I'm too excited. I maybe get one to farm a couple times a day if that and always losing 200K in gold and elixir and 2k in DE. Can't make it back and slowly draining away.

Remember how you'd get booted after 6 hours of continuous play for 10 minutes?
They changed it to 3 hours and if you don't get a shield in that 30 minutes they then extend it out to another 30. And if the timer doesn't reset or you log in during they keep extending it. I haven't been legit attacked in a week so it's been an issue at times.

Generally speaking, I love that I can now get in two attacks per shield which more than pays for whatever I get raided for.

400k per every attack using my OP queen and 6 healers. Sometimes I use 3 spells. When I can do that in champs I'll farm my soon to be 4 million per piece walls there.

Gotta apply domer. And be nice to my prestige brothers. I love most of those guys Raj is kinda shady. Phork ethan and the rest are cool.
It also depends on what activity level you want and if your rushed yada yada yada. In Rennagins we have a tendency to get a little hardcore.
Prestiges biggest problem is a legit hatred of losing wars.
Milagros is I'm guessing the semi retired clan now. Wouldn't know everytime I go to visit my request sits for 3 hours and I get bored.

I wouldn't say its losing wars, everyone hates that. Its losing wars when people don't use their attacks and losing by 1 or 2.

I wasn't digging the update at first since I couldn't just leave my TH outside of my base and pickup free shields. I was getting attacked several times a day after the update, but after changing my layout I haven't been hit again in several days....knock on wood.

I can see how this is nice for TH9/10/11 players, because you can go big on nice bases with an attack and turn a profit with two attacks.

But for those of us lower than TH9 (I'm at TH7), it's a pain in the ass trying to hold on to resources. I had a nice stockpile before the update, had my gold/elixir essentially maxed out at 4 million each, waiting to upgrade to TH8.

I get hit for 200k+ of each, but can't find shit in return, even for two attacks per shield. AND I'm getting hit by dudes at TH9 that just dragon-rape me, and there's nothing my defense can do lol.

I get that they're trying to find a nice balance to keep top players active, but it's thrown off the balance for us lowly cretins now, especially in terms of elixir.

Mind sharing your layout? Ive been trying several different options and havent been able to find one that actually works yet.

Please excuse the crudity of the model, I didn't have time to build it to scale and all that. It's really just a modification of an old TH8 build I found online. I was getting hit several times a day once the upgrade hit, mostly because my TH was on the outside of my base. I haven't been hit since I moved to this new setup, but we'll see what happens once my resource bins get really, really full. Still, I went a whole day without logging in yesterday, resource gatherers were full and would have been an easy mark, but no one came....maybe my base is bugged ever since I changed setups, who knows.

I'm a TH8 right now, probably jumped to 8 a little bit too soon. I'm struggling through some defensive upgrades right now.

Very interesting design I'm gonna have to try it out. I like the open channels to the mortars, I imagine it helps kill lots of enemy giants.

The design is based on a TH8 setup I used to use, so you could try it yourself. The biggest change was I moved my TH in the middle and added the X-Bows. You can probably find the original setup online, but the basic idea and layout is in my setup.
