Yes, I took it down. The new owner posted a response and I thought that you probably saw it already, and I was just trying to keep this board from going into a deeper meltdown, during this very hard day. This is what he said...

It's pretty f'ing obvious that one of the moderators got angry yesterday and deleted a bunch of threads. What else do you want to know?

I just spent the last few hours putting together the committed list. Still have to work on the remaining prospects but it seems the other profiles were left alone.

Are you kidding me? WTF? Was Queens in middle school? I'm sorry that Jason has to redo all the stuff but I find it funny that Queens threw that big of a hissy fit. Thanks Jason for everything.

PS - I lost a lot of my posts(and posts numbers). It has put me back to walk-on. Did he do that as well?

When the threads were permently deleted all the posts and stats associated with them went bye bye as well. Your reps, cash, and gifts should all remain uneffected though. I know I lost over 225 posts, and I'm sure guys like LMI, Scooper, Marv, ACamp, etc. lost a lot more.

I'm more upset about the pics, statistics, videos, and Svo's and jigga's research info being lost for good.

There were also several threads that I put a lot of time into like next year's wish list, and some basketball stuff that is all gone now too.

Svo sold the site due to personal reasons. A Canadian man named Yusef (User Name: Envied One, at least for the time being) bought it from Svo and originally put Tony Tiger (Formerly Spartan Pride) in charge. Well Tony fixed some of the tech. problems the site was having, and he promoted LoveMyIrish, and QueensNY from Forum Mods, to Community Mods. He also contacted some of the other Sr. members but most of them declined the offer to be mods. ACamp1900 accepted, and TT then asked Jason Pham (an undergrad student at ND), and me GoshenGuy (Lifelong ND fan with a lot of message board experience) if we were interested in being mods, and we accepted. Tony then steped down as the day to day admin. because he thought it would be best if someone that had ND first in their heart was in charge. LoveMyIrish was the longest tenured mod. and he has had experience running web sites, so he took the job. So the staff is as follows...

EnviedOne - Admin./Owner
LOVEMYIRISH - Day to day Admin.
TonyTiger (Formerly Spartan Pride) - Community Mod., but he still helps with many of the technical aspects of the site.
ACamp1900 - Community Mod.
GoshenGipper - Community Mod.
Jason Pham - Community Mod.
NDGettysburgh - Hockey Forum Mod.

QueensNY (Baned for actions yesterday) - Former Community Mod.

I know we've moved on, and I'm not sure if people have seen/want to see this, but it is from FDNY, who is now posting at DD. Mods, if you'd rather just have this issue die, then feel free to take it down. This is from yesterday (link):

I'm not well like over on IrishEnvy because I deleted most of their recruiting threads, but many over there don't know the whole story.

I was one of the first members when I joined IrishEnvy, and soon became a mod. I have access to premium sites and early on I used to use that info just in my own words. I quickly got in a lot of trouble with one of the sites(won't name which one) about using their info. I felt pretty bad about it so I stopped and rarely even posted in the recruiting section just mainly regular football or basketball threads.

Now this premium site would often stay in contact with me as they knew I was a mod on IrishEnvy and they always send me messages about how it was wrong that IrishEnvy was using their info even though I wasn't the one who posted that stuff. This really annoyed me and I told this person to stop messaging me and to contact the people that were posting his info.

About a month ago I get a very threatening message to stop using their info on IE or they would face legal action against me(they had all my information Name, address etc). I explained to this person that I didn't post any of their information on IrishEnvy but they told me since I was a mod there that it was still my responsibilty to stop it, and they told me to delete ALL the recruiting info on the site.

I know there is probably nothing they could do against me since its not my site and I'm not the one posting their info, but I just didn't want to be bothered with it, not to mention they cancelled my subscription and didn't return the remainder of my money. I'm a first year firefighter so I only make around 25k and have to pay NYC rent which isn't cheap($1200 a month for a one bedroom shack) so needless to say money is tight and I wanted that money back to switch over to another premium site. He told me he'd have my money returned if I deleted the posts.

I didn't want to do this and contacted the new boss on IrishEnvy(took him about a week to even reply to my PM) to ask if he could resolve this by telling this person that he the owner would stop premium info from being posted on IE. The new owner basically told me it was my problem and for me to deal with it, we continued to argue over this and he said some very unkindly things to me which pretty much pissed me off because it wasn't necessary . So basically I didn't want to delete that info, but since he didn't seem to give a damn I figured why should I.
