So who do we root for between Oklahoma and Baylor?

Oklahoma... No brainer... An undefeated Big 12 champ goes in over us... a 1 loss Oklahoma is up for debate, but I believe the Texas win gets us in

We all need to be on the Mississippi St. train this week. It'll knock Bama out of the Playoffs, and put us in control of our own destiny. PRESCOTT FOR HEISMAN!

Oklahoma to win against Baylor and then lose again somewhere on their schedule. If Oklahoma wins out it could be trouble for ND

I am a huge TCU fan for the remainder of the season. Since they have a loss, I want them to play spoiler for the rest of their conference and eliminate the Big 12 from the playoff conversation.

Is their good WR out? He looked like he hurt his wrist pretty bad. I hope he's OK if we need them to be spoilers.

That means we still need someone to spoil Oklahoma State's season. Hopefully Baylor beats Oklahoma and Oklahoma State over the next two weeks, and then loses to TCU.

Texas beating Baylor to end the season would be the best possible outcome.

what sucks is they were in process of losing that game to okie st when their start WR wrsit was broken. want him healthy rest of the way to try and drop some losses on their big 12 opponents.

Some interesting lines this weekend:

NCAA College Football Odds and Daily Lines - ESPN

Pitt 6 point favorites over Miami - didn't expect that.

Navy -1 over Houston.

Iowa only 1.5 point favorites over Nebraska.

Baylor only 1.5 point favorites over TCU - not sure who we want to win this.

Michigan 2 point favorites over OSU.

No line for PSU/MSU.

USC -3 over UCLA.

Stanford -3.5 over ND.

FSU -2 over Florida.

Oklahoma -4 over OK State - not surprised by this one.

This week is going to be a bumpy ride, Ernie.

The big one is definitely OU/OSU. I think we are 100% in over OK State if they finish 11-1.

I think Baylor beating TCU is better for us. Not sure if TCU will drop again after their close loss, but there is definitely a chance that a 9-3 Pitt could end up ranked higher than 9-3 TCU.

Which brings me to us needing Pitt to beat Miami. USC needs to beat UCLA. Navy over Houston would be great. Temple over UCONN is a must also. Really those 4 opponents of ours (plus stanford) are the only ones who matter now IMO.

FSU over Florida would be very nice. It allows for a 2-loss SEC champ which would place them behind ND.

Other ACC things to root for IMO are a Clemson win over South Carolina and a UNC loss to NC State. I don't think UNC matter much, but just want to avoid a scenario with a 12-1 UNC and 12-1 Clemson.

In the B1G, the dream scenario would be an Iowa loss to Nebraska. Also, Michigan can still win their division if they beat OSU and MSU loses to PSU. I actually think PSU can hang in there.

That's everything off the top of my head. I'm sure there's some other things like keeping a team like Tennessee unranked (since that would boost OU SOS), but I can't think of much off the top of my head.

If all of those happen I honestly think it doesn't matter what happens in B1G10/Oklahoma/Oklahoma State. We're in if our opponents finish that strong.

The committee can still screw us if they want to. Even if USC wins their division, they can drop them out of the Top-25 if they lose to Stanford and finish 8-5. Temple can also win their division and be out of the Top-25 if they finish 10-3 and lose in the AAC Championship. If those things happen and the committee throws 8-4 Tennessee into the Top-25 then OU will have more wins over ranked teams than us.

When they kept Minnesota at #25 last season, it was a giveaway that they were going to sneak Ohio State into the top 4. I'm guessing in the end it will be pretty evident right away in the final rankings who will finish higher between 11-1 ND and 11-1 OU if it comes down to that for the 4th spot. Just have to see if they choose to boost up TCU/Tennessee or boost up our opponents. Keeping Minnesota at #25 was the final nail in the coffin for the Baylor>OSU argument last season.

If Oklahoma State, Penn State, Nebraska, Michigan, and Notre Dame win, we are I'm no matter what happens in any other game. Root for those teams.
