Offense is ridiculously deep next year, especially if Prosise comes back

That would be amazing if he came back.

Normally I would think a RB would automatically leave in his shoes, but he has such low mileage compared to most RBs, he shouldn't be in a huge rush to be in the NFL. Not nearly the wear and tear on his body compared to someone who has been doing it for 3-4 years in college.

Of course, he might get a 2nd/3rd round grade and have almost no choice but to go.

Floyd was a better all around receiver and will be a better NFL receiver but it is impressive what will fuller has done since coming to ND

I would love to have procise back but it definitely not necessary. I believe he has been here for four years and probably has his degree. Go get your money son.

Draftscout has a 3rd round grade on him as of now. I never begrudge a RB leaving early since they only have so many carries in their body. Although in CJ's case he wouldn't really be leaving early since he'd be a 5th year guy next year.

His stock might be lower next year if he splits carries with TF

I really don't think that would be the case. At the RB position, I think NFL front offices are more concerned about talent than production. If CJ comes back and shows that he can run with a better pad level, catch the ball consistently, pick up blitzes, and continue to show off his speed, then he'll really improve his stock.

I think it says a lot about the program, the institution, and the overall experience of attending ND that high draft picks are choosing to come back to school. That's something you can point to in recruiting IMO.

Shut your whore mouth...just kidding. Does make me scratch my head and I will rest once it comes to be. But great news none the less. ESB opposite fuller with Hunter in the slot and Elize at TE. MY LORD!

Would probably be the best set of receiving threats since 2009 (although Floyd and Eifert in 2011 was pretty beast).

Will Fuller for 17 more games. Hnnnngh.

Out of curiosity, if he does stick around and keeps putting up these numbers, what career records would he have when he leaves?

Brent and Holmes may never catch a ball

Boykin Guyton Claypool will be delayed significant playing time by a year

ESB and CROB will have their chances but fewer to go around

Tori Hunter and CJ Sanders still have a very good year and take advantage of all the open space created by fuller

Fuller owns the record books for the next 100 years at ND

Fuller
2013: 6 G 6 Rec 160 yds 1 TD
2014: 13 G 76 Rec 1094 yds 15 TDs
2015*: 9 G 44 Rec 900 yds 12 TDs

Assume a rate using '14 & '15 numbers to predict his remaining 19 games (max possible)..

Rate: 5.45 rec/game, 90 yds/game, 1.2 TDs/game

Projected Stats
5.45 * 19= 103.55 projected receptions
90.0 * 19= 1,710 projected yards
1.20 * 19= 22.8 projected TDs

Projected Career Stats

47 Games Played
230 Receptions
3,864 Yards
51 Touchdowns

He will be/is an All Time Great. I don't necessarily think he is the best pure WR in our history, but he is certainly in the mix.

Can we assume this production will maintain over the next possible 19 game? I'd hope so. Does he get the 2 assumed NC games I worked in, unlikely- but I can hope!

Either way, he has been a joy to watch over the past 2 seasons and hopefully he does come back for next year.

I know, I agree, I'm just being facetious.

Haha, yea I just don't know which is which right now. People have been trying to find stuff the whine about for the past few weeks. It's good to be an Irish fan right now!

Fuller is still dropping in the Biletnikoff fan vote. He was at 3.3 last night and is at 3.25 this AM. I suspect some schools have voting algorithms going. But I voted about 40 times yesterday to move it 1/100 of one percent.

If anyone else wants to vote for Fuller, who will be Irish again next year:
FANVOTE: Who should win the Biletnikoff Award in 2015? « Biletnikoff Award

I'm pretty sure that vote does not determine who wins the award. It might count for something, but it's not going to stop him from winning if he is deserving. So I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Yea, it's pretty easy the write a bot for that. Total waste of time though. I don't think this particular online vote will affect the decision of who wins it that much though.

Hunter and Carlise have been splitting time at Slot. Who takes Carlise's spot?

ESB is supposedly behind Fuller at that spot. ESB will not play if he is Kept at Fuller's Spot

Chris Brown and CRob have been splitting time at the other spot. Brown is gone leaving CRob. Would ESB be able to move here... if so I think he has a better shot at seeing the field.

Potentially next year we could have
Fuller
Hunter
Jones
ESB

with Kizer throwing the rock.....Opposing teams will be feeling like:

IDK what happens next year but I fully expect ESB to sit the whole year behind Fuller rather than play the other WR spot because I have no faith in the staff making it a priority to get the best athletes on the field at the same time.

There is some serious talent red-shirting this year, too. And we have even more getting ready to join the team. I'd love to see Fuller, ESB, Hunter, and a more developed A. Jones catching passes from Kizer/Malik/Wimbush next year, and have Boykin, Guyton, Sanders, Claypool, Stepherson and maybe McKinley (still hoping) on deck. And, then there are the St. Brown brothers and Brock Wright and Kmet waiting in the wings. Good gracious, we are absolutely stacked with pass catchers for the forseeable future.
