So.....he admitted in the PC he took something. Yet Florida is saying as a University they will appeal. What is there to appeal.

Well there's one of the schools we should be able to jump in the polls as long as we take care of business.

well he said he took something but NC2A just says PED''s. I'm guessing that the University wanted something more definitive.

They'll take the NE Patriots defense... "Everyone else in the SEC does it, why you picking on us??"

From his own admission he took something over the counter, and I have no reason not to take the kid at his word. My only thing is how messed up of system is it, when a kid can use an illegal drug and get suspended for only one game, and this kid went to GNC took a pill and will miss a calendar year. He can't even come back next year, he won't be back until 10/12/2016. That's crazy to me.

And not punishing kids for gaining a competitive advantage is not? What is the NCAA supposed to do with kids that are caught with PEDs in their system?

"Oh, you took something OTC without checking with the medical staff like you have been told a thousand times to do? Well, this is grounds for a VERY sternly worded letter, young man. We object to the substance's presence in your sample. Cease and desist or we will send you another letter and STRENUOUSLY object to the substance's presence."

There has to be some kind of consequence. Otherwise, kids will use PEDs and just blame OTC supplements for their positive results.

I hate to question the kid seeing I know nothing about him, but if it was some innocent OTC pill, wouldn't tons of guys get clipped for this weekly?

*obviously Bama was scared of the Gators lol

hate florida but seems way to much of a punishment for a kid in college to me; and like others im shocked this (getting caught) doesn't happen all over the place. (failed PED tests)

what is the ncaa testing policy and procedures exactly?

Just google, "SARMs". That's the ingredient in Ligandrol.

Not a chance in hell he got it at GNC.

I think that may be an old review though. There's been a ton of controversy about SARM's lately.

I get your point, but I just don't understand how pot gets one game, and something from GNC gets a whole year. Now it may turn out he's full of it and he knew exactly what he was doing, but if he didn't I feel really bad for the kid.

That picture someone posted of Bo Scarborough, where he dwarfs DJ Pettaway (sp), I would say Bo put on 40 or so pounds of muscle this past year.

He reportedly gained 43 pounds between his freshman and redshirt freshman years.

What? The recruiting sites (espn) list him about 180 and Florida listed him at 203. Maybe he gained 20 pounds.

247 listed him at 190 for H.S. which would put his weight gain at about 10 pounds.

All he has to do is take that GNC product to the training room and have a trainer look over the ingredients. The fact that he admits that he didn't leads me to believe one of two things:

1. He knew there was a banned substance in it and took it anyway.

or

2. He got caught using a steroid and is trying to blame it on some OTC supplement.

That's my take, anyway.

I always thought BK being friends with Belicheck was a good thing for the program. But then I thought, can't get away with cheating at ND like the Pats do in the NFL.

I dont believe the OTC defense at all. Every athlete that gets caught says that. You know exactly what you are putting into your body, especially if it is a pill. If you dont know the pill you are putting into your body, well, then you deserve whatever you get, health or otherwise...
