Future is bright. Lots of young talent on this team on both sides of the ball.

Kizer looks more comfortable in the offense but his mechanics are pretty bad. He throws off his back foot on out patterns consistently and drives his throws into the ground. How is this still happening with both BK and Sanford coaching him?

CJ is a monster. Game changer.

Brandon Wimbush will lead ND to a Playoff appearance before he leaves.

Good for CJ Sanders. Lucky for him UMass was in max protect because we still don't really wanna block for him otherwise.

Offensive line is one of the best in the country. These RBs look good for a reason.

Alllllll the freshman TDs today.

Flutie is abismal. I mean absolutely intolerable. Hates ND.

Classic slow first half on defense just going through the motions.

Stoked for the win and ready for Death Valley.

Agree on Flutie, he did all he could to cheer UMASS on today...

O-line and RB's looked great.

Defense looked good outside of the 20 points straight debacle.

Wimbush, Adams, and Williams are no joke.

Way more all around athleticism and depth on the team than I have seen in 20 years.

Flutie + Whipple =True Love Always.

Hammond is Hammond. Makes a ton of little errors but overall, he doesn't bother me.

Flutie outright hates ND and does not hide it. I blame NBC.

When we scored, we were supposed to. I'm legitimately surprised he didn't head to the sidelines and try to orally satisfy UMass coach for his use of screens. All of which weren't working worth a shit.

I hate the way Hammond says Carlisle. He really emphasises the Isle.

I don't have any major gripes today outside of :

Why does it take our defense a whole half to get going?

I swear I saw our punt return team purposely not blocking on at least three punts that resulted in a fair catch. I have no understanding why this occurred or.the logic of it being on purpose. Can anyone explain this?

Over all it was a good win heading into next week.

Wimbush isn't going to make the QB race any easier in the next few years. I like seeing that dual threat QB. His two deep balls that called back were awesome.

I only saw the game from the Sanders TD onward, so I literally only caught the good stuff.

Awesome offensive performance.

Though I wasn't super happy with the defense in the first half. What I did like was instead of it getting out of control like it has in the past, they got the ship righted mid game. I think that was an important undertone to the game.

The young talent on this team is insane. As long as nothing crazy happens this team has talent to win a lot of games for years to come. That freshman offensive class is ridiculous and to think of these young guys getting better behind that OL is very exciting.

I think that Kizer is capable of winning games against Clemson and USC. However, he really needs to clean up the mistakes. Too many easy throws that are gimmies, and need to be made.

I love watching this OL just maul people. I really like this run game. It's pretty clear that we are in the process of watching something special with CJ behind this OL.

Some players that I liked seeing in action.
- Nico Fertita had a nice ST's tackle and strip. He's going to be a better player than people think.
- Barratti didn't look tentative when tackling.
- Mathias Farley plays a good deep center. He has trouble covering off the line but when he gets a chance to roam the back end, he comes up with big plays. He's been doing it since the beginning of his career.
- Nick Coleman though he got beat on that TD, he had good coverage and looked good today. Very encouraging.

He needs to get his head around. He was in perfect position on that TD but he never looked for the ball.

Good to see the young guys.

I think Morgan Coney and Jaylon would be a sick lb trio.

Wimbush brings a giant smile to my face. A little hyper, I guess to be expected, but he has a lot of talent. And how fun is that kid to watch?

Dexter Williams does not appear to be content to be the second best freshman RB. He and Adams need to keep working to earn carries and we'll be fine in the backfield.

I thought the young corners showed promise.

Alize looked more settled today and had some nice plays.

Our QB and RB stable, despite losing the top 2 at each position, is awesome. C.J. is a beast and Adams/Williams are awesome as well.

But the rockstars of the team are the OL. Those guys make the magic happen. I'm not entirely satisfied with their blocking on 3rd and short plays but overall they are awesome.

A lot of positives came out of the Game today. Even though we struggled early it was good to see when we had the opportunities to put points on them we did.

-Kiser has to get Better if we are going to win the big games. I like him but he misses way to many open throws.
-Good to see kelly get on the Defense or BVG to get them going.
-the young Talent on this team is amazing!
-Sheldon Day plays with some much heart and energy. He is a hell of a player.
-Loved the punt return TD. But i don't understand why we aren't more physical at the line to give CJ a chance.
-Good for Brown to have a good game we are going to need him to step up.
-Butler was all over the place on special teams but he is bad in coverage.

Fun game to watch, particularly in the second half.

Offense was tough, line did a great job, and so did the backs. Liked both QBs. I'd like Will fuller to get his hands away from his body more often when he catches the ball...that Int. should have been a catch had the reached out an snatched it. Tight ends made a couple plays again today. That performance scared some people...

Defense...Wow. The Dline started getting home more on pass rush, and they did pretty well against the run. Backers mostly did a good job, considering I saw them held a handfull of times.

The dbacks...first of all, literally no one is afraid to throw at the ND corners...they are not shut down, and I'm starting to worry about them just being serviceable in pass coverage. They both let people get behind them all day...and I saw them each get away with one because the QB overthrew the receiver. Also, I can't get my head around the cushion on the outs, yet people seem to get behind them...what in the hell is going on out there. Seemed like the starters' only successful defenses against a pass were due to PI (only one was called). Seriously, someone needs to get after them because what they've delivered in coverage is not even decent.

Safeties..double pass from NDs opponent is almost guaranteed from here on out...ALWAYS THERE. Nice play by Farley on the tipped ball...but it looked like he was cheating, so what/who did he let loose?

Defense did not tackle well early, but then they woke up.

Come on Dbacks...gonna need some pass coverage...and some discipline on trick plays.

Special teams changed the momentum...was nice to see.

I wanted to see a lot of the youngsters play today. Glad that was able to happen; not only was it able to happen, but the freshman looked pretty impressive today.

I was scared to death during the first half when Prosise missed an entire series and it was just Adams and Dexter for a whole series.

Also, the running back depth for 2016 is going to be absolutely crazy stupid deep

If Prosise stays. He keeps this up he will be playing Sunday's next year.

I hope Prosise comes back for next year but if he gets 1500+ yards, 12+ TD, on 7.0 ypc (These Projections are conservative even) then he probably should declare. But IF he does stay our 2016 depth:

Prosise
Folston
Dex
Adams

Holy shit.

Best part is that our leading rusher, Prosise, is averaging 8.1 yards per carry. I used to remember watching Bama, Florida, and USC always have their backs have ridiculous average ypc like that and wonder how it was possible to sustain that. Its all about that dominant oline.

I was thinking the same thing. That is my only gripe about Fuller. Catches too many balls with his body. But what do I know...he has 6 more touchdowns than I do.

Even if he doesn't stay. We already know what we have in Folston and these freshmen backs are already impressing and will only get better.

I really don't see CJ leaving this year though.

And maybe Tony Jones impresses right away next year. The future for the running back position is looking very bright
