FWIW, when the recruit signs the financial aid paperwork it allows the school to publicly speak about said recruit. However, if said recruit doesn't ultimately sign with that team, and they've spoken publicly about him, they're in violation of an NCAA rule. Though minor, it would hilarious is he signed with both schools, we don't publicly talk about it but USC does, and he ultimately ends up at ND with USC seeing a violation.
If he's talking to the staff tonight, perhaps he is letting them know he'll stick with his original pledge to USC?

Maybe they'll share a laugh at how he is punking Sark.
Early financial agreement, never heard of it before. Thanks to all for the explanations.
Indiana guys... gotta hold their hands through anything not hoops related. Jeez!
Early Enrollees Can Sign as Early as August 1
So is he off the board?

no, financial paperwork or planned EE does not equate to LOI. Will be interested to hear (if we ever) what the conversation is about with the coaches tonight.
I believe above someone stated you can't file financial paperwork at more than one school, but I don't think that's the case. I remember a few years back (or at least I think I do) someone filed multiple prior to his hat ceremony pre-signing day (EE). Can anyone confirm?

You can sign at100 schools for financial pw...locks them into recruit but because it gives unlimited convo with schools the only1that he signs with then didn't commit any violations....
So if he signs with ND then USC committed violations. Lulz. I like where his head is at.
Yep, I'd love to see Sark look like a tool for just having to make this public as soon as he could. He must have had a solid happy buzz going
I didn't think that a coach could comment on recruits until signing day??
SC (or just Sark) can't be that stupid, right?
Alcohol kept the Irish from conquering the world....

If he goes to USC, he gets what he deserves & wants. So it's win/win.
Same for if he chooses ND.
But what you get and deserve are two very different things between those schools.
hey now..
