I'm going to continue to be as immature as you think I am and ban you if you don't just leave. You literally have no idea what you're talking about. Seriously leave this thread and never come back. It's not for you. Enjoy the win.
gkirish went out of his way to say he was pulling for a win this week and was hoping in the long run he'd be wrong about BK. We've all had questions about BK in the past. 0 reason to give him crap.
You know what-not even reading to the bottom of this thread. F@ck you bringing the ban hammer just because ur a f@cking mod. You are what's wrong on a board that offers so much! Ban me-I don't care. I'll read and get my info that way. However, if you ban me jackboot, make sure you step up and post it to everyone.
Bad look
How brave of him to stick his neck out there and hope his own team wins.
I hate that we lost MZ the way we did, I really do. I was never in his corner, however. I was pulling for EG all along. Now that, that Bitch is gone and MZ went down, I saw something in Kizer that really impressed me. The 2-point conversion and his press conference after. He had the confidence of the world during both. This kid is the real deal. I seriously have no worries here. Mark this post and let's revisit it in 5 weeks.
Meet Nd's 3-Headed Monster: Fuller-Prosise-Kizer
The D
More than it looked schematically wrong it looked lazy. While one can say you can't blame coaches for kids being lazy, I think you have to blame coaches for kids being lazy. People need to start getting pulled and we can start in the secondary. The secondary looks LAZY! I'd run these kids on the ski hill till they puked. I am seriously starting to hate Redfield. Eff his athleticism. Eff his up side. Eff him. He's a head case.
Someone said 38 looks a step behind. Yeah SLOW. I thought Morgan (5) was going to benefit from the 4-5 games he was able to start in last year. How the hell did he get buried 3 deep.
I'd run with three deep covering 1/3's all day. I watched the ACC champ. game last night this kid cannot throw. They didn't even attempt a pass until the 2nd quarter. Seriously - Take your 3 - 4 best cover guys and tell them your in man for the next 3 hrs 2013 Michigan State style and let's see if they can beat us with his arm. NO WAY!
GO IRISH!
PhiilyIrish - How ignorant. First of all, get your grammar correct if you're going to attack my 3rd grade education. Your use of adverbs and pronouns sucks like a 3rd grader.
Not drunk - real. Real Irish. I call it like I see it. He hurt this program and cheated his brothers. Yeah I take it personally. You don't? You don't see what he did? It's funny that in a thread that is trashing Kelly, someone points out the very situation that Kelly held him accountable and let him know - I have options other than you Everett - your panties are all in a bunch. Don't be pissed at me for pointing out how much Kizer could have used Spring reps. Be pissed that he turned his back on his brothers. This isn't Hendrix leaving to get play time. This was our leader that said I want to go somewhere else and win a NC.
You don't like my posts . . . scroll past them and don't comment, but you can't. Because Butchie's posts speak the truth.

EG is a Notre Dame graduate.
I would have loved if he stayed but he fulfilled his commitment to the University.
How many degrees do you have from ND?
The way you personally attack students makes me wonder why you're a fan of this particular school.
gkirish went out of his way to say he was pulling for a win this week and was hoping in the long run he'd be wrong about BK. We've all had questions about BK in the past. 0 reason to give him crap.
JJ - What student did I attack. Oh, you mean a student athlete. Yeah that's what fans do. He may have fulfilled his commitment to the university, but he failed every member of the ND football program he said he was committed to going into battle with. Then he ran when Kelly turned up the heat . . . but not until he practiced all spring to get better. You OK with that? Sounds like you are.
Hegarty lefty and I have no problem with him (as an individual). He left like a man before spring and specifically said I want to give the younger guys an opportunity. That's a man that cares about his brothers. I'm never going to be OK with leaving the Irish (as a member of the program), but he did it the right way. You don't see the difference?
1. An MBA. Is that good enough for ya.
I didn't know having a degree from UND was a pre-requisite for being a member of and posting on Irish Envy. I don't recall it when signing up.
You can turn your head to how an individuals weakness impacts the rest of the team, but you're probably OK with 6-6. I'm not. You question me as a fan? No Sir. I'm a fanatic.
Scroll past my posts from now on if you don't like hearing the truth.
Stop being soft and get behind your team.

Nay sir. I've been on his bandwagon since he was hired.
I don't think ND can get any better head coach then BK at this stage. Sure, he's had some bad decision making but they all have them. He's also had some horrible luck with injuries, just like all the other coaches. Not his fault that 5 players cheated at school and got caught. Not his fault Greg Bryant didn't do his homework. Not his fault Eddie Vanderdoes bitches and cries after signing day. Not his fault Blake Barnett used ND to catapult himself to the SEC. Not his fault Gunner Kiel couldn't deal with a QB competition. Not his fault Everett Golson couldn't figure out how to take care of the football. Not his fault Tee Shepard did't go to class. Not his fault Deontay Greenberry bolted at the last possible second.
The recruit pool he has to deal with is a lot smaller then what Alabama and Ohio State have to deal with. BK's strength has always been in player development and I think its showing this season especially. ND has had some ups but a lot of downs the last 20 years so what he's had to rebuild hasn't been easy.
If BK is to be replaced, name someone who is better then him and would come here. Remember, Bob Stoops and Urban Meyer had the chance and said no.
Your calling Golson a Bitch for leaving. You've called him a coward. Honestly, I don't see how there isn't more uproar with the immaturity of your post. Why would I take him leaving personally? He lost the job and want to play in the NFL, obviously he was going to to what was best for him. You can't blame him for looking out for himself. He gave us 4 years here, what if instead he left by declaring for the draft? Would you still take it so personal?
And it really wasn't too different from Hendrix, both couldn't play here but were capable of playing elsewhere. Haven't you read the players thought on him leaving? They say he wasn't much of a leader, he was an introvert and too shy to motivate and inspire his teammates.

This alone is why I'm afraid to lose Kelly who else is there? Plus i don't see ND paying top dollar to steal someone away.
What the hell are you talking about? Golson stole reps in spring ball, i.e. preparation for the 2015 season, and is not a member of the 2015 team. Zaire and Jaylon ARE members of the 2015 team so their 2015 reps are legitimate. You don't see the difference there?Oh now I see, your right. Golson stole reps, and Hegarty didn't. So what about Zaire? Do you hate him too. I mean you gotta be some kindo of assh*le to not forsee your own season ending and steal reps from the guy who will start the mjority of the season, Kizer. And what about Jaylon Smith? Chances are he's gonna be a top 5 pick next year. What a selfish piece of Sh*t he is for not stepping aside and preparring Morgan for 2016.

Anyone watching Texas and Cal? I'm beginning to think that when ND is dialed in they are as good a team as there is in the country.
Seriously? Kizer was about as good as Malik would have been. Prosise is better than Folston. Tillery and friends have stepped in for JJ admirably.I think a fully healthy ND team had a good chance at 12-0 and a playoff berth. Really ashame. If we were fully healthy today I think we win like 45-10 or more.

Yeah obviously I wish we had all those guys. I just don't think our win expectancy has changed. I think we were a 10-2 team before the injuries and I still believe that.prosise is very good, kizer showing flashes but I think Zaire lights that team up.
albeit kelly had very vanilla offensive gameplan
Drink your Kool Aid, and get in line with the other jock sniffers. This was a flawlessly called game!!!
I think that makes this win all the more telling. We dominated a team that was favored against us at home. This game was such a parallel to that OU game in '12 when even though we were ranked higher and undefeated everyone wrote us off.
Yea the play calling sucks someitmes but its the only real complaint with his overall coaching. And not to sound ignorant, but does anyone even know the playcalling situation seems like theresn debate to who actually calls the play.
Play calling regardless, this is a well coached team and has been since Kelly arrived(and before anyone chimes in yes we had too many penalties today but that happens sometimes).
Kelly gets his guys ready for big games. We rarely lay a egg. Signs of a good coach.
One game does not change serious long term issues with this team under BK. Like others have said if you can't join the conversation, this thread is not for you.
Dude....you started the thread, you had to expect some blowback. Everyone chill. I'd just lock the thread until next week if I were you.

Per ISD post game notebook:
Notre Dame is 13-2 under Brian Kelly when ranked in the AP top 10.

Kizer held the ball way to long and didn't hit open receivers early. Also got bailed out by Will Fuller's greatness twice. Could hurt us against better defenses.
No. Having your RS freshmen throw that fade route was not a smart play. We were able to get as many yards as needed with a run. We should've run.
Someone who shall remain unnamed was told by a player that even when someone else is calling plays, Kelly is in control and overrules at time. He has to have final say.
Alabama in 2012 says hi. Then again when we lose to the likes of NW or Pitt or USF, who cares how up we get for big games, because we won't be in one at the end of the year.
This
He started a discussion, not bashing BK or calling for his head. Everyone else seems to push that motive.
This
I know I am.
I think you're spot on.
That means he is 34-20 then when ranked outside of the top 10 (not including this year). That's not good.
Thats nothing spectacular or surprising, that is probably a pretty typical record for a top 10 team. More telling is that both losses were to the #2 ranked team in the nation (Bama and FSU).
That means that, "when he is good, he is very very good; and when he is bad he is horrid." Well, not horrid, but nothing ultra-special.
Ugh...don't remind me. That game was BK at his absolute best. It is such a damn shame that game was stolen from us, such a shame. That would have easily been the best win at ND since Lou Holtz left the building. That game winning drive would have been legendary. To be fair, we beat FSU.
IMO that was probably the best called game of the BK era
