If I was a highly touted recruit, and wanted to explore options:

Michigan (football and academics)
Cal (football and academics)
Nebraska (football, great fans)
USC (just football)
ND (Mecca), and would commit during the visit

Lets see...after committing to the Irish in September, I would take the following official visits;

To Michigan, hosting Ohio State
To Penn State, hosting (and kicking the sh#t out of) Illinois
To Florida State, hosting South Carolina
To Texas, hosting Oklahoma

and on to South Bend for the thrashing of the Trojans! Of course most of these games would be towards the end of their respective schedules, thus almost impossible to schedule simultaneously...but this was a hypothetical question, with a dreampt up answer!

If you had 5 official visits

If you had 5 official visits

If you had 5 official visits to use and you were one the top prospects in the country and every school wanted you, who would you visit?

1. Notre Dame- Self explanitory
2. Texas- Probably an awesome place to spend a weekend
3. Alabama- Just to experience the craziness..not the hillbillies
4. Oklahoma- I would probably want to play in the Big 12 if I had my choice
5. Florida- I used to root for Florida because I hated the "U" and FSU, but that was before Urban got there. So I'm pretending he isn't the coach.

----I wouldn't waste one on Rutgers because I could go there whenever I want.

Give some insight as to why you would go to each school...it makes it a little less boring.

Great idea for a thread! I had this drunken talk last night! Well here's mine.

1. Notre Dame- easy decision

2. Florida- Even tho I hate Urban, I think they'd line up all of the ladies and liquor for me and it would be verrrrry fun. I'd prolly silent committ and then committ 2 ND on NSD...lol.

3. Penn St.- Almost as much tradition as ND and a very respectable program, also would be cool 2 meet Joe Pa even though he's kinda delirious by now! I'm gonna try 2 take a road trip out there for the game this year, it looks like a great atmosphere.

4. Texas- Never been down south and Texas also gets the best players out there every year. Also very nice lookin ladies and very passionate fans.

5. Hawaii- Do I really have 2 explain this one? I've never been there and it sure would be a rough trip!

#1) Notre Dame- Gee, I wonder if anybody will put anything different than that as #1. I think even napoleonbuck might put ND at #1, although I'm not sure about ant80.

#2) Pepperdine- I don't even think they play football, but have you ever seen their campus.

Screw the rest of them. I'm like Golic Jr., it must be that CT thing.

I did.

Texas (Texas A&M weekend) - I have always liked Texas, and some of my favorite relatives live down there.

Florida St. (Miami, or Florida weekend) - Girls, and Climate.

Florida (Tenn Night Game) - Florida was, and still is my 2nd favorite school, although Urban can make that really hard at times.

Michigan (O$U weekend) - It's always been a program I kind of like, and they would probably pose the biggest threat to ND if I were a recruit.

USC (ND weekend) - It'd be nice to go visit SoCal, and I'd get to see ND at the same time.

Just unofficals to ND (I only live 30 min from campus)

1. Notre Dame - The promised land, plus a degree worth more than the paper it's printed on.
2. Michigan - Just to get their hopes up, then spurn them.
3. Southern Cal - Pickup a little spending money for the rest of the visits.

Since I'm an ND lock, I'd go to:

1) USC - Try and get Poodles hopes up
2) UF - great eye-candy, try and get Urbie all excited
3) UW - great secenry and right before getting on the plane for the trip home tell Ty his an idiot
4) Hawaii - everyone knows why
5) O$U (for the UM game) - tell sweater-vest he never really had a chance, but thanks for the tickets

Then I'd come home and commit to ND

Notre Dame, Northwestern (great architecture, beautiful campus), Texas A&M (just to see what College Station is all about), Wisconsin (I could get smashed with their marching band!), and Hawaii (self evident perks).

Actually, I'd scratch Wisconsin off the list if I were being realistic, and I'd visit Stanford.

4. Arizona State (vs. Arizona in the duel in the desert)
5. ND

I wanted to see Mary "Samsonite" in Aspen too....lol

No, I just figured I'd spread my trips around to see different parts of the country.
