Here is my $$$ league roster. Keep in mind we only have 8 teams so the player pool is typically deeper.

QB: Brady, Bradford, Dalton
WR: Antonio Brown, Mike Evans, DeSean Jackson, Tate
RB: Forte, Lynch, Forsett, Latavius Murray, CJ Spiller
TE: Eifert, Gates
D/ST: HOU, NYJ
K: Parkey(PHI), Hopkins(NO)

I passed on Rodgers at #3 and took Lynch, at 14 on the back swing Brown fell in to my lap. I went Bradford/Brady in the later rounds. My thought is I can roll Dalton or Bradford until Brady is back.

Ironman and irish o'phile need to hook up to get irish o'phile slotted into either Backfields or Zane's slot. Then we need one more person to fill the other.

Is there a way we can clear up some rules/settings items prior to the draft, also? Last year we didn't have a flex spot, but as I recall that was an accident. So this year we should be QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/FLX/TE/K/DST, right? And also, last year we were a 3/4 PPR league, which .... just seems a little odd. Can we go full PPR or .5 PPR instead of straddling that fence? (My preference there would be .5 PPR, fwiw).

Apparently we are not doing keepers this year, so its not urgent. But if you read up a little, there is a list of questions I posed about keeper rules going forward. You can vote on those, and you can also weigh in on the flex/ppr questions. Thanks man!

I don't totally love it in theory but I am willing to accept it because I have good late-round keepers anyways. Remaining questions to be resolved:

1. How many keepers? 1, 2 or 3?

2. Penalty for keeping a player is round they were drafted in the prior year?

3. Do you pay a premium for keeping same player more than one year?

4. Is there a limit for how many consecutive years you can keep a player?

5. An undrafted player kept in the last round, right?

This, except for the PPR. 0.75 is interesting. But I don't feel strongly about any of it.

That's the point of a keeper league. And there is a penalty. You lose your whatever-round-you-drafted-the-guy-in pick for that year.

That's kind of the point of a keeper, as wizards said.

As commissioner, Ironman needs to just step up and lay down the rules we will follow. As long as we know what's going on before the draft it will be fair.

We need that 12th person though. Help us Irish Insanity, you're our only hope.

That's the point of a keeper league. And there is a penalty. You lose your whatever-round-you-drafted-the-guy-in pick for that year.

A dynasty league, sure. But a keeper league is basically a redraft league with an added element of strategy and some reward for managing your roster well in previous years. In allowing unlimited keeping of the same player but charging a surcharge of one round per year, you're allowing for a good reward for "finding" an elite player early but you aren't undermining the competitiveness of the league. I think it is a good compromise position.

(To think of it another way, what is the point of saying you can't keep a guy you picked in the first two rounds, other than to try to keep elite players in the redraft pool; allowing indefinite keeping of players at no cost clearly runs counter to that aim.)

I (backfield n mccoys) cant delete my team either. I think it's because the commish locked the teams in.
