I don't blame him for shying away from Notre Dame. I don't look down on him for not wanting to get in our TE depth chart. He would have Luatua, Jones and Brock. That is a tough slate to compete in.

Exactly... then add in the #2 TE in the '17 class goes to Bishop Gorman, a school that currently has a VERY special relationship with ND and that Grant Carrigan is already as big or bigger than Angeline which gives you a package of a huge inline blocker and the smaller, faster receiving TE snapping at your heels while you're trying to get playing time from one of the top TE talents of the past decade. It's just not a good scenario to jump into. unless you want to be part of ND beating SC on a yearly basis... which he accomplished anyways. ;-)

per TV there was real interest with Angeline going to ND but it sounds like ND staff wasn't pursue and their focus is on Tremble
