Dallas PD headquarters shooting...

Great deflection.

While you can figure out how to approach my last question, ponder this. Instead of using an emotional response, I have yet to see a cogent argument or valid definition that proves otherwise.

And my response to my own question since you are neither courageous nor brave to touch it, is that yes, snipers are less brave and courageous in my own opinion, especially if they pick someone off in the back of the head. This is not to say that they are not brave nor courageous in other aspects, but the act of shooting someone 300 yards away is less brave or courageous than fighting someone face to face. Plain and simple.

Take away the context and look at the action. Now if I replace the soldier fighting the enemy face to face or the other scenario of a gang member sniping another gang member 300 yards away.

What would your response be to that?

Wait, so, the cowardly Dallas PD sniper unit who sniped this lunatic is less brave and courageous then the lunatic who attacked police HQ in a moving vehicle while planting explosives underneath their vehicles all the while hiding inside his van?

Got it.

Can't we all just agree that saying they had some balls is fine as long you immediately follow it up with "also they were pathetic pieces of shit." This nitpicking is dumb.

Also how would Hitler have been brave considering he wasn't putting himself in harm's way. If he put himself on the front line, yeah he'd have been brave.

Why the heck else would a person think it was "courageous and brave" to attack cops?

If someone said the 9-11 hijackers were courageous and brave, any of you that are sane would think the statement was incredibly offensive and that the speaker likely had some sympathy for the hijackers.

Can you point to me she "thinks" it was? Again? You are choosing to apply the words courageous and brave "only" in its positive sense. You are applying "your" definition of those words. And in doing so. You're assigning blame incorrectly. In context. She is correct with her application of those words. Doesn't mean that she's agreeing or condoning what happened.

So, Hitler was also courageous and brave?

You're my homie, but you're not getting it... Maybe by answering your questions, I can clarify.

1) I don't believe Hitler was brave nor courageous, as to my knowledge, he never put himself on the front lines of the war or put himself personally in harms way. Because, as the definition of both "courageous" and "brave" clearly state, putting one's self in harms way is a key component of the word's meaning.

2) I think your second point illustrates what I'm talking about. If one of the two people put themselves in more of harms way, then yes... That would have taken more bravery and courage. Doesn't mean anyone condones it or is giving them props. Those two words, by definition, do not mean someone is good or bad.

I get that, especially in your field, you never hear those words without them describing a person that is honorable. 99% of the time that's how it's used. But that is not what it means nor was it being used in that manner by the reporter.

LOL, some people will defend anything, no matter how dumb it is.

Truth.

Courageous and brave are words shared with a positive outcome, or a negative outcome defending something positive in theory.

I'm sorry.

There's no defending this bullshit comment.

And if the cop haters want the police to stop doing their jobs, that's fine. I hope they strike. Nationwide. (Actually I don't, but it's part of the plan.)

1/2 the casualties will be African Americans killed by their own race in the absence of police. (My opinion of course.)

I'm sick of this shit.

This house will be defended. I'd hate to imagine Chicago or another area where "gun rights" are so neutered. Only crooks have guns there.

Racial, gay rights, are the only two fronts in this nation that could spark a civil war in our country. We're well on our way.

This would be a great opportunity for our wonderful President to enact his plan to use Marshall Law.

(Former field. ha)

And yes, I DO get it. I just don't agree with it.

If people wanna call Bruce Jenner courageous and this guy courageous then hey, go for it., I'm just a regular guy, what do I know. I'll reserve the use of those two words for how I see fit and this is not one of those times.

But, whatever. Its water under the bridge at this point.

I have nothing to say on this topic but I'll agree with you regarding his making a post like that then deleting it as soon as he got the reaction he wanted.

Magogian,

I didn't delete it. I would never do that. Some mod may have, but it is back now.

Oh get over yourself. No one is hating on cops. When one can't answer, they come up with that crap. What some want. Is when those who abuse their power in a position of authority. They need to be held accountable. Not all cops do that. The majority of law enforcement ARE good cops. But when one of their own is in the wrong. Those good cops SHOULD be the ones on the front lines decrying such misbehavior.

Well in spirit and in alignment of typical of late Notre Dame football, the reason we all have chosen to assemble here in the first place, I'm going to play down to the level of my competition in the presence of such a personal and ignorant lead in:

Go Fuck Yourself. I'm sure your wife doesn't want to. Lmao.

I see more of a coward and selfish individual with some mental illness rather than a brave and courageous man, but to each his own.

OK. Enough of this shit. I never once took to personal attacks on you or ANY of your family members. I stated an opinion and you disagreed. But instead of posting a rational response. You decide to interject childish responses. Guys like you really piss me the fuck off. Just because you think that you're sitting behind a computer you're untouchable. I'll reach out and touch your bitch ass.

I live in Austin TX. More specific. Leander TX. If you feel that you are comfortable enough. Clear your PM inbox. And I'll give you my address. Then we can talk face to face. THEN!!! I would love for you to say exactly what you posted to my face. Fuck you!!! You simple son of a bitch. I'd love to meet you in person.

I'm so damn sick and tired of guys like you. You sit behind your computer and spew shit. Knowing that if you were face to face. That garbage won't come out of your fucking mouth. Meet me PLEASE. After I beat your ass. I'll bend you over and fuck you like the bitch you really are. There was no reason. NONE. For you to to act like you did. But since you believe that your tough. I'm DAT MOTHA FUCKER you need to meet. You simple fuck. Fuck you.. Clear your inbox.

And if you mods think that I need to be banned or take a vacation for this rant!!! Then you so be it. But I won't stand for his shit.

Bruh,

I'm the internet tough guy!?

Lol.

You're a really mad gay man.

And I don't like non consensual butt sex.

I don't know your wife in real life, but I hope you don't beat her.

Leander, TX!?

There's only steers and guys threatening non consensual butt sex in Leander.

You need to go back to St. Thomas and you need to stop sniffing wild fox urine. ;)
