Any idea what Lebron's "secret motivation" is that media outlets have referred to? I guess Lebron made a statement after Game 2 about it, but won't elaborate on it. One guy thought it had something to do with the fact Lebron has been snubbed for MVP too often in recent years despite being likely the best player in the league.

Jordan won the award 5 times despite being the best player in the league for at least 10 years. At a certain point, people get bored with giving it to the same person.

It could be that paired with the fact he's playing the guy that beat him out for MVP

This. If there's been any season where the term MVP applies, it's this year and it belongs to LBJ.

First stint in Cleveland= they good
Leaves= they shitty
Goes to Miami= wins 2 titles (yes, did have help... or did he)
Leaves= they shitty
Goes back to Cleveland= 2 wins away from a championship... with this team

I'm a huge MJ fan, but I have stated that if LBJ pulls this off, I'm considering them tied for greatest. LeBron's second best player on his team right now is some Aussie who I believe also plays for the Chicago WNBA team (or at least has a similar sounding name).

James has been playing outstanding, no doubt about it. I'm watching Golden State and wondering how in the world they won as many games as they did? Right now it appears to me that James supporting cast is better than Curry's supporting cast. Thompson is forcing bad shots and playing stupid. Overall you can tell this is the first trip to the finals for GS, but it's not for James.

My guess:

Tamir Rice was a huge Cavs fan and LeBron promised his family he would win the title in his memory.

I bet its something personal and non-confrontational. Like his wife is pregnant or his high school coach is sick or something like that. I think it's much ado about nothing.

i think it's nothing more than Curry winning MVP and he's going head to head with him.
