If the Cavs can't win when Lebron dominates its a really bad sign.

The damned curse strikes again...when your 2nd and 3rd leading scorers are injured and out, respectively, it is harder to win. If the Cavs make the normal percent of FTs they win in regulation. Extremely frustrating.

All future thread titles for the Finals should read Lebron vs Warriors.

That Cavs team is a complete joke w/o Kyrie and Kevin. Lebron literally has no help.

Yeah, but if they lose, the narrative is now "Despite legendary performance, injuries to two max contract/superstar teammates too much for Lebron to overcome" instead of "LeBron loses in Finals again despite having two max contract/superstar teammates."

I'm a pretty big Lebron-heter, but I almost feel bad for him with that team he has to play with. This is the 2007 Cavs all over again.

I also thought they missed Love for the first time this playoffs when Golden State went small late in the game with Green playing the 5.

Realistically, I don't know how they can win the series. Maybe some combination of Lebron dropping 40-10-10, Kyrie gimping around and playing 35 solid minutes, and JR getting very hot....seems to be a stretch to ask for that 4 out of the next 6 games.

If they get blown out of the series, I wonder if the Cavs would look to drop droopy faced Blatt to hire Thibs?

That would be my nightmare.

Don't see that happening, I think Thibs will take a year off and wait for other jobs to open up.

Blatt isnt the issue. This team miraculously made it to the finals missing Kyrie Love and Andy. This clearly wasn't meant to be our year. I personally think we would easily beat this warriors team if we were 100%.

Thibs is probably the best strategic coach outside of Pop in the league. He consistently had a team plagued by injury, including the star they built the team around. It's my personal opinion that he would run the Warriors simply with Lebron paired with me, Whiskey, Wiz and Acamp.

Blatt almost single handily lost the series to the Bulls. He's a second rate coach.

Lebron has basically ran the team for the bulk of his career due to second rate coaches. I honestly don't know if someone like Thibs and him would get along well enough to keep an entire season together. Lebron is used to doing things a certain way by now (with good results), so I'm not even sure he'd go for it.

Again, if Irving could play (and was 100%) and Love had not had his arm pulled out of its socket things would look pretty different. If would be as if the Warriors did not have Thompson and Green.

Sad to say but Cleveland gave up last night in order to cover spread. It's a Damn Shame this is what our sports have come to.

I think it would go 7 games if the Cavs were fully healthy. Right now, I think it goes 5. Maybe 4 if Kyrie can't at least play at 75% health.

Irving is done for the rest of the playoffs! Cavs are done in 4.

Truly a shame- it is impossible to win the NBA Finals when two of your three leading scorers are out. Awful luck, but vintage Cleveland sports I'm afraid.

Even with a healthy Kyrie I didn't think that the Cavs would be champions. Now I'm not sure how they win a game in the series.

God hates Cleveland sports.

Let's not despair too much. There are missing pieces at the moment, but hopefully those will be in place by next year, and everybody will stay healthy. Even if the current team was healthy I think the Cavs would get to a 7th game against what is supposedly the third greatest team of all time (according to Nate Silver's machine).
