HAHAHAHAHAHa... Good news Browns fans, this means you'll only use the 12th pick in the draft on a QB, not the 12th and 19th. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA... JFF is the man!!!!

Another example of the Browns just having no plan in place. If you were going to bring in McCown, why wouldn't you have hired Trestman to replace Shannahan? I know that they didn't know TB would cut him when Trestman was available, but if you wanted this guy you had to know he'd be available one way or the other. TB is going to draft a QB, and they have another NFL QB on their roster already.

I feel bad for the Browns fans. I think every fan of the league would like to see Cleveland be good at some point.

Sadly McCown is the best QB on a Browns roster in years.... Not joking.

Da Raidahs to San Antonio? What? Just a rumor so far but pretty crazy if true.

Just saw a rumor of the Raiders and Chargers sharing a stadium in down town... Now THAT would be insane....

That came out earlier in the week but the new follow up (story on ESPN) is that the stadium in LA would be a terror risk. That couldn't simply because of the level of play the Raiders provide could it (only half joking)? Not really sure how that is different from any other stadium now that Malls are targets.

L.A.-area stadium would pose terror risk, according to study commissioned by rival - ESPN Los Angeles

From the article:
The report by former Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge finds that constructing an 80,000-seat stadium in Inglewood -- as close as 2.5 miles from an airport runway -- "materially increases the risk of a terrorist event."

Ridge concluded that in a world in which terrorism is a recognized threat, "the peril of placing a National Football League stadium in the direct flight path of (the airport)" ... outweighs whatever benefits it would bring over its lifespan.

Imagine this oversight. Planes are flying overhead at a low enough level (taking off and landing 2.5 miles away and right in flight path) so that the offense can't hear the QB because of airplane noise. That would be classic.

That's the truth. McCown wasn't the reason that the Bucs stunk up the joint. I don't think he is as good as he was for the Bears (led the league in QBR rating), but not nearly as bad as he was on the Bucs.

The halfway point between those two is better QB play than the Browns have had in years.

Good trade for both teams IMO

Now we will see how good of a offensive coach Kelly is... If Alonso is healthy, I would agree it's a good trade for both teams.

Good cap move, but the Eagles could have gotten a lot more IMO. I know Alonso is good, but still...

I get why they made the move, but there have to be a few teams out there who would have given up much more.

Isn't he fresh off of knee surgery?

We needed a MLB with aging and injured Demeco Ryans. Now we have two stud MLB in Kiko and Kendricks that are both 24

Ya, but he went to Oregon so that makes up for it...

Exactly

A young guy in 2015 will come back from an injured knee just fine.

It's assumed. But that is it at this point. I agree with the trade for shedding all the cap space. But let's be real, they are getting an unknown. There are a lot of athletes who have shown great return from reconstructive knee surgery, but there are plenty who are never the same again.

He also can't put two words together coherently, so he must be good at defense..........

He actually is outstanding at defense pre knee injury. I don't know how I feel about this trade or the fact Buffalo just traded for Matt Cassel. I don't know the details about the draft picks for Cassel, hopefully they are really low considering they don't have any picks.

Pretty outstanding is an understatement. He was 2nd in running for DROY.
