But seriously tho kid could be a stud FS which is a huge position of need. Maybe we'll have a chance since he goes to a catholic school.

Plays for the Father Ryan Fighting Irish and everyone in his school loves ND. Spoke with Elston and Lyght, with whom he is impressed. Had this to say:

They said they loved me and they could play me anywhere. The DB coach told me they want to take five DBs, three safeties and two corners or three corners and two safeties and I could play anywhere. They said they're low on depth and if I come in and work my butt off I could play early. That's cool with me because I know I'm going to work my butt off.

The offer puts us in his top group. Will try to visit during in the off-season, but will certainly OV regardless.

Kind of sucks he's (supposedly) moving to Hendersonville High, Father Ryan is a feeding school for Notre Dame. UT is recruiting him pretty hard. Would love to see more TN kids sign with ND.

JoeJuan Williams, DB, 6-2, 205, Father Ryan High School, Nashville, TN is being recruited by the cream of the college football crop. Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Ohio State, Penn State, South Carolina and numerous others have all offered him a scholarship to play for them. Last month, Notre Dame joined this prestigious list of suitors. Williams’ head coach, Bruce Lussier, knows what kind of person the lucky winner will be adding to their roster. He just isn’t sure whether the position after his name will be an “S” or a “CB.” In fact, he’s not completely sure where the four-star athlete will be lining up for him.
“As a young man, I think he’s a fine young man,” said Lussier. “We have not had any problems out of him whatsoever. He started for us last year at two positions. He started at corner and then we moved him to safety after an injury to one of our starting safeties. I thought he performed well, so he has a little bit of experience playing both positions.”
Lussier continued.
“I’m not quite sure where we project him for this coming year, whether we’ll move him back to corner, or move him to safety; we haven’t got to that point yet. I think his skill sets are outstanding. He’s so long that it makes it difficult to separate from him. You feel like you’ve got some separation, but because he is long, he’s actually got that gap closed.”
As good as Williams is, his head coach believes he can definitely get better.
“Obviously he’s got to continue working on his strength and speed as everybody this time of year is doing,” Lussier said. “I’m going to say he’s a 4.6 kid right now. Obviously he’s going to bring that down a little bit. He’s not going to be the fastest guy on the field, but his length makes him one of the fastest guys on the field. He’ll be full time in our strength program and hopefully he’ll be able to bring his time down a little bit and his numbers up.”
Lussier says that Williams knows that he needs to continue proving himself on the field.
“Obviously his performance is going to have to seal the deal, but it’s exciting for our program for sure,” shared Lussier. “To see Notre Dame offer one of our students with us being a Catholic school is kind of a neat deal for us. We’ve been going through this now for more than a year so nothing fazes us anymore.”
With so many high profile programs recruiting him, Williams hasn’t narrowed his choices at all as of yet.
He’s talking to everybody on a regular basis,” Lussier said. “I’m sure he’s talking to anybody who wants to talk to him right now. He’s taken visits to many different places quite frequently. He’s told me he’ll pare his decision down come late summer/early fall to the schools he’d be really interested in attending.”

Love the big DBs. Him and Fuller would be great -- especially since they can play CB. If ND can land these two, it giives coaches a lot more flexibility to recruit DBs for the rest of the class. They can go for the best of the CBs and Ss left on the board without having to focus on one or the other.

How do you say his name? Is it pronounced "Joowan"?

Also, I don't mean to hate on ISD because I really like their podcast, but that article is terribly written.

Like others have said, going to be really hard to pull this kid out of Tennessee. Sounds like he's developed some strong relationships with the Tennessee coaches.
Tennessee's Butch Jones making Joejuan Williams high priority

“We’re the same as (my relationship with) Coach Martinez. We talk about life. (Jones) talks to my mom a lot now, and they’ve got a special relationship. My mom kind of actually likes him. She thinks he’s a really cool dude, a really great dude. They’ve got a great relationship. We’ve got a great relationship. It’s good.”

While Williams hasn’t visited Tennessee since August, he said he stays in contact with the Vols’ coaches “all the time.”

“I just talked to Coach Martinez (last week),” Williams said Sunday following the National Playmakers Academy Exposure Camp at Clarksville High School. “We’ve got that relationship right now that we don’t even talk about football anymore. We just talk about life, so it’s really cool.”

Scout: eliminated ND, gave a very honest answer. He just didn't feel the school and doesn't want to attend a Catholic school anymore. Said ND is a good place and will do good things.

Appreciate the kid's honesty, and I don't blame him one bit. Besides, if we get Vaughns from TN and Alloway for Cali, we will be fine at CB

As of now Alloway is being recruited as a slot/APB. However, I agree that CB/S recruiting looks good.
