I want to know how the Hell Cameron Clear from Texas A&M got invited to the combine but Riggs didn't. Clear this year as a TE had 5 catches for 34 yards, and for his career had 9 catches for 76 yards and 1 touchdown. WTF?

He caught a pass from Manziel, could Riggs do that!?

So far in the drills, Daniels has caught the ball very well. No drops in the Gauntlet, caught ball off his body.

In my opinion, he was a mid 4.4 to 4.5 guy.

That's what a year off will do to a man.

That's why you keep your nose clean.

You think he's been off for a year? It sounds like his Father has had him in full time combine training since the day he left South Bend. I'd bet the house Daniels never ran a sub 4.5 in his life. Hell, he may have never run a sub 4.6 and there's nothing wrong with that , Jerry Rice didn't either.

40s

40s

Of the 44 WO's listed, 5 didn't run.

Of the 39 that did, only 6 ran a slower 40 than Daniels.

Only 9 recorded a time of 4.60 or slower.

20 were sub 4.5.

5 were sub 4.4

1 was sub 4.3

Either it was one of Kelly's classic over talk his players speech or Daniels lost a step but Kelly said in a presser that Daniels had high level combine numbers.

kids almost always run better at pro day. Daniels will get another chance.

I def never thought Daniels ran in the 4.4 range. Honestly I thought he would run 4.55 to 4.6 so not far off. He is a big receiver though.

No link but Keith Arnold tweeted that DD's 10 yard split was 1.58. Not what you would call great but it means he covered yards 10-40 in a little over 3 seconds. If he could knock a few hundredths of a second off of his official combine time at his pro day, he would be in the range that most people thought he would be.

Other stats that measure burst or whatever you prefer to call it: Tied for tenth among WRs in both the vertical and broad jump, 37" and 122" respectively. Those are decent numbers for those drills.

Here are a couple of miscellaneous factoids: SBNation posted all of the physical measurements for combine WRs and out of 44 receivers, he had some of the smallest hands and shorter arms relative to his height.

Truthfully? Not that surprised.

I do caution, not to buy too much into combine numbers one way or the other. He will get a chance and just might surprise.

Fowler is a freak. Will be a top 10 pick, even though his production doesn't equal top 10 pick

Anquan Boldin was dismissed as a wasted pick after his combine, and Mike Mamula was vaulted into the top 10 for his. I agree, it's far from an exact science.

Most coches/scouts will say that what's more important then things like the 40 or the bench press is getting a physical look at the kids. See how big they truly are. How they carry weight, etc. It does help so you can't completely dismiss it but things such as a 10 yard split are probably more important then someone's total 40 time. From being a Giants fan, Tom Coughin likes to sit at the 10 yard line as that's something he prefers more times then not.

Just so many others things you can go by and look at before you rely on the combine.

Hopefully the Bears draft him or Fowler. Need a rush end desperately.

The Giants could use him too but I highly doubt he lasts to #9. Giants philosophy tends to lean more towards BPA then any specific position but OL/DL and LB are areas of major need and they need to get an immediate impact player. Someone who can step in and play from day 1.
