Serious question, has Meadors still not officially inked with UCLA?

Diff stories out there. Some said he did and then changed their story to say that he was just talking glowingly about UCLA. Others said it's been signed and sent in. The most logical story seems to be that it's signed and sent in, but some reports were changed to make it sound like he hadn't signed yet so that he could have his big "announcement" without them ruining the surprise.

Disregard that. He may still be going to UCLA, but there was miscommunication this morning I think that he already was a done deal. In any case, per BK, it doesn't sound like anyone else is coming on board here.

Not the staff's fault that McKinney couldn't make it. Baratti sounds like he's coming back, so if he stays healthy he'll be in the mix. They probably weren't anticipating that Hardy was transferring a month ago, hard to make up ground that fast when most recruits have already fell in love with other programs.

It is the staffs fault. That have known since around Oct. it was going to take an act of congress for Mckinney to be accepted here.

A lot of predictions had Farrar going to us if I recall, but I'm sure the loss of Cooks killed that. We certainly tried to get in the mix with a number of safeties, it's hard to get guys on board late though.

Staffs fault for not knowing McKinney would be eligible and Kelly said that in the presser. That they need to make sure all the kids are eligible at ND. I doubt Baratti comes back and if he does you're counting on him to contribute? Same question for 4th string Hardy.

Its tough to get worked up over one soft spot. There have been years we were complaining about much bigger holes at multiple positions.

Agree. It sucks to be soft at a spot, but if you're going to be soft somewhere on defense I'd rather it be at Safety. The front 7 can help take pressure off the secondary if they do their job, but of course that's a big "if" there.
