The number is 25 (currently at 23) per Irish247, that means two more with a third being likely as Prentice won't be in the class. ESB, RB, S

Can go one more than that (again, assuming Prentice is out of the equation) for a "special" player so almost certainly not going to take more than 3 additional guys, because no 5:s: dudes are coming here. My guess is we get ESB, Williams/Vaughn, and Farrar.

I'd take that in a heartbeat after the season we had. That's a full class with some playmakers and all positions covered. Great depth class if we can end it like that.

I don't expect any drama. The only possible loss is McKinney at this point, and there have been several mixed signals regarding his eligibility. Regardless, predicting Williams, St. Brown and Farrar. Williams seemed to prefer us prior to visiting, and could commit this weekend.

That would be a very nice finish. Wish we could have landed a stud pass rushing DE (hoping Ishaq can be that guy this year), but I'm very pleased with the class overall, especially considering the weak regular season finish.

I know Jennings is being recruited as a wr/athlete at UVA....they just had a decommit from a DB...not sure this does anything in his recruitment from their perspective but maybe they talk to him about switching to def and might give him 2nd thoughts that if he chooses uva will they switch him regardless ....this was just something that i thought of when i saw the decommit

ESB, Williams or Vaughn, Buncom or Farrar.

Can anyone tell me who the better power back between Williams and Vaughn are?

Is Buncom better than Farrar? We should be able to land 1 of these 2 since Stanford already has a good Safety commit.

stanford is expected to take Buncom, Reid, and Edwards.

I believe Farrar and Meadors are our best bets. Reid could have his eyes opened on his visit.

Vaughn, but Williams is a lot faster.

Yes. Not necessarily.

Staff visited him on tuesday. He visited Louisville last weekend. Apparently his status with the tide is up in the air with the changing of their defensive staff.

Supposed to visit bama this weekend.

From me - usually I can read an article and get more of a feel based on wording and emphasis, but the summary about is almost the entire article rephrased. There wasn't a lot of ad lib.

I have no idea if the bama visit is happening, no idea how he liked lousiville, and no idea if ND is a real player.

This is awesome he is giving them an in home. Since the parents did not come on his visits IIRC, this is a great opportunity to pitch them. Love that the staff has not given up on him. He seemed like one of the few big time recruits that really got what ND is selling.

You weren't wrong. 100% CB to Georgia. Obviously we'd like Loy to slide in a ND CB, but the fact that it's changed completely from Bama is a good sign as any. Hopefully he doesn't make that visit this weekend but I can't see why any defensive staff wouldn't want this guy.

Would be the biggest steal in the BK era IMO. My hopes are 5% up but who knows.

Edit: Damn that sounded like a Lax post. I just don't think we steal a DE from Bama this late in the game, lol.

Yeah I saw that but then when I went back I realized it was only 1 CB total and even though it was to Georgia the prediction was made in June.

It'd be up there with the all time great steals but I don't see it happening. If they do manage to pull it off, we'll have to reconsider where this defensive line haul ranks in the annals of ND history. (Mekhi, Tiller, Wallace, MDT, Taylor and Tiassum, just on numbers alone this would be a killer class with all of the needed pieces).

I was actually surprised to see him still listed on the 2015 Master List (kudos to BeauBenken for updating). If it was simply down to him leaving Bama for ND I wouldn't hold my breathe. The fact he is visiting Louisville shows the Bama commitment isn't too strong...

Would be a huge steal! Send the house to visit Mom and Pops

I think there's a lot more to it. He definitely has legitimate ND interest, and he is wavering on his commitment to Bama. I just don't see a realistic scenario where we lose a battle with f*cking Louisville for a recruit of this high a caliber. Our depth chart at DE is up in the air right now (deep yes, but not a lot of established players), and he can come in and be an instant contributor. This all hinges on when or if he decommits from Bama. Right now, the odds are low, but if he manages to flip, then I really like our chances then. Definitely are giving him something to think about.

Stop it! You are giving me optimism on this guy now. Koonja said he was only getting his hopes up 5%. I agree, Bama to Louisville is a head scratcher but coming to ND isn't that big of a shocker since he has already visited.

With Prentice gone, is the hope to get 2 safeties + Williams + ESB?

Nah, Prentice has already been factored out of the equation for months. It's Williams + ESB + a safety.

I think front page is up to date, I edited it on Wednesday I believe.
