Murph, as pointed out by Kelly in most of his pressers, Golson missed wide open people down field, I'm sure the TE was one of those on many occasions.....I'd have to go back and reach a great deal of film, but I do remember Kodak being open a few times when Golson either took off running, or took a sack.

Don'tcha jes lurv otto-co-wrecx

Nicco better be on this guy every day. One more Gael would be sweet!!

No sh!t. The first thing I would ask him every day at school is "You commit to ND with me yet?" He has a teammate to help with homesickness who also has access to a private jet whenever they can fly home, + ND is fricken "TE U".

Snoop's son would benenfit the same way joining Nicco at ND.

NO THANKS, he is doing a tv show w/ his dad...i doubt ND would be all about that

True, could do without him. Not sure Snoop would fit in with the others dads (Lorenzo, Torii, The Admiral, etc.)

I didn't say I wanted him. ESB is my WR dreamlister. Just saying he is a 4 Star and would benefit by playing where Nicco was for teammate support and a free ride home (not that he needs a free ride).

Snoop might fit in with Jon Bon Jovi on the sidelines...

in all honesty i believe he was granted a LOT of pub just due to his dad...plus he was at a small time high school program before this year coming to BG...he was less than stellar at the opening and was unheard of throughout the year in stuff i read on the BG season

He'd probably fir in better than most think. It would be comical to see Snoop and the Admiral together on the sideline stoned. lol

Barton Simmons in with a CB for ND. Good sign as these analysts finally get to spend some significant time around these kids and get a better grasp on where they think they're headed. Wiltfong also still confident.

Do you think Jones plays right away next year and where do you think the staff gives him a look at first? WR or TE?

It should be a pretty open competition at TE next year as Smythe as failed to do anything so far; although it's hard to do much when you're behind a future NFL tight end. I think Smythe, Weishar, and Jones (if he flips) will get the chance to be the starter. I didn't mention Luatua because I think he will be a solid run blocking tight end and that's about it.

If I remember correctly Smythe was hurt at the beginning of the season and with the amount of time played by Ben either he needed to work on more or the coaches didn't trust him. But I would think he would be the favorite tobstart.

I agree that he is probably the favorite to be the starter (at least going into spring ball anyway), but I wouldn't rule out Weishar. I think he can be a great receiving TE

What's Heuerman's status? I know he had hernia surgery in the summer. Did he play at all this year? Always thought he'd be our pass catching TE in 2015 once we lost Potential.

Personally, I think it might the hernia and the fact that he's only 225 pounds. I find it a little concerning that he's only 225 even with 2 years in a college football workout program

Thought I read somewhere that he's up in the 240s??
I just assumed he was getting a medical year.

FWIW, we had this conversation a couple/few months back and at that time I was pretty adamant that Smythe would at least hold off Alize for 1 year. However, I've capitulated on that now. Alize's senior season has been spectacular and he is really on another level athletically than just about all TE's in this class. I could see it being very similar to Spond/J. Smith, prior to Spond being declared unable to play. Smythe more consistent as he's been in the system but you'd have to get Alize on the field. Would Alize start day 1, no but he'd get a lot of run time.
