Or she could have been referring to his ancestral homeland. I know a whole lot of American-born Irish folks that refer to Ireland as their homeland (same goes with Germans, Koreans, Indians, etc). This seems like much to do about nothing. The speaker in the video, while stressing how urgent it is to get these "facts" out says "and no better way than with this T-shirt". You know, the T-shirts he just told you where to buy. I'm personally not buying this guy's shirts or his theories.

There are so many more worthwhile political and social issues to discuss. Re-hashing a 6-year old argument doesn't seem worth it, and that sound bite doesn't change that for me.

Hell, I often "claim" Ireland as my "home country."

My mother was fifth generation Wisconsin born, with Scottish, Russian, Welsh and Germans in her family tree.

My father was first generation American. His parents were emigres from County Cork and County Leix. He was born in the borough of Manhattan (as was I) in NYC.

Proximity in time, along with an "identifiable" name, leads me to identify Ireland as my "home" country.

Get a grip.

Let me add, since we're in the Lep Lounge, Get a FUCKING grip!

Maybe I went a bit overboard since my mother's maiden name was Jones and her mother's Smith (changed from Schmidt under pressure during the WWI years), etc., etc., etc.

I fall prey, all to often, to the notion that posters endorse the views of those who they quote or to which they provide links.

I find it almost impossible to believe that anyone so quick to see the negative contributions of people like Al Sharpton to issues of race, does not also see how the constant inquiry into the President's nationality, his religion, his college transcripts could also be viewed as a type of race baiting. I guess because so many good leaders around the country have questioned it incessantly it might start to sound benign to the tone deaf. When Donald Trump's team of investigators down in Hawaii come out with their report on what they have found I may change my opinion.

I've been really enjoying your contributions in these non football related threads.

Would you have preferred Sarah Palin? Just asking. Considering the relative health of Obama and McCain at the time of the election, there was a higher probablility it may have come to pass (particularly had he been reelected).

Ha. Palin v Biden or Biden v. Palin. Dumb and Dumber. Maybe you can get away with being dumb if you surround yourself with competent people and you are directiontionally correct in your stances.

The lesser of 2 evils. There probably could be a screenplay with those 2 in D&D III.
