It would be pretty nice to get to the North Carolina game at 14-1. Florida State (3-4), Purdue (6-1), and Georgia Tech (5-1) stand in the way. It's definitely doable.

The Crossroads Classic should be a great day of basketball. The major conference Indiana teams are all looking quality this year. Exact opposite of last year's disaster.

Thinking about coming into Indy for it. I'm going to watch Indiana's favorite son, Steve Alford and his Bruins the night before on Saturday the 13th against Gonzaga. Should be a lot of fun in Indy Saturday night.

Good win. The team is fun to watch but rebounding is real suspect. Probably would be a top 20 team if we beat Providence. But I think that will end up being a "quality loss" when it's all said and done.

Auguste needs to man up, he is real soft down there.

I think Brey doesn't want him to be too aggressive because our depth at C/PF is not experienced. But he definitely should be doing better on the defensive boards. I understand the lack of offensive boards and general defense though.

Providence loss is a killer. We'd be ~15 next week if we had won that game.

It won't ever look like a bad loss though. Providence has one of the best head coaches in the country and are a tourney team. I can't say enough about Ed Cooley.

Big win. I actually liked the unis. I agree that reboundig was awful and really need to improve there but I am really happy with Grant, DJ and our ability to put up points in general. Now we need to string together some wins before tough game with UNC.

I said earlier he was the best player I've seen so far this year in the country. I guess I should have added, he's not the best prospect but he's the most developed player. At 22, an All American college player basically IS the age of a good 3rd year pro.

He reminds me of guy I played against back in the day, Hersey Hawkins.

Pretty sweet.

It's so early, but I like our guard play this year. I really think we can make a Sweet 16 run if we get the right matchup.

Like beating the 10 seed then the 15 seed?

HAHAH i like that one. Fucking Xavier. we had that game on lock down. I think we have great guard play this year and having older guys on team will really help. Auguste has to step up more when we play better teams

Ya, something like that. Or, like avoiding teams like Iowa State or FSU who were clearly freakishly talented and underrated.

We've sucked in March, no doubt about it. But, we've gotten some tough draws.

Going to my first ND home game this Saturday vs FSU. Any suggestions for pregame activities?

Played well tonight albeit against poor competition. DJ has really stepped his game up from last year and is looking to potentially be a dynamic player. Together with Grant forms a formidable backcourt. Connaughton is a very good player. If we can get decent contributions from Vasturia, Auguste, and Torres should be a very good team.

I think we have the talent to go to the sweet 16. But I would bet every dollar I have that ND will lose in the first two rounds.

DJ, Connaughton, and Grant are all impressive, especially now that DJ seems more confident on the court. But we desperately need an inside presence to rebound well against the better teams.

I agree. Rebounding and interior play in general will be the issue with this team going forward. At the minimum should be a fun season though, which will be very nice after the rough beginning to ACC play last year.
