Where are the mods? NoJusticeNoPeace has basically accused TTown of being a klansman and that doesn't bother anybody besides me?

I don't think this is condescending. I am sure that this won't be week long riots and constant fires. The press and cops hope this happens, but it won't.

I disagree. I've read most of the posts and your replies are pretty much directed at telling the other poster they're wrong. The fact is you really don't know what is going to happen and no one else does either.

I do hope you are right and there won't be riots, because the results aren't going to be pretty. Why do you think the press and cops are hoping for riots?

Press more $$$$
Cops for more spending by the government to "protect" the people and more justification for use of violence.

I'm saying his post is racist, which it is. Painting black people as sex crazed violent dealers and saying "stop it" is racist and demeaning.

That's because a lot of posts are in fact wrong. T-Town saying hip-hop is about celebrating violence is wrong. People's info on this case is wrong. Saying I negrepped anone is wrong.

I'm shouldn't speak for Tommy, but I bet he'd like ALL sex crazed violent dealers to knock it the fuck off, whether they're black, blue, green, brown, white, or orange.

I will be the first to agree that there are some bad cops in every force, but this is not true.

His opinion of me doesn't really bother me. His excuses for the current conditions affecting the African American community does. He seems more comfortable calling people racist than coming up with simple solutions to help offset some of those issues.

It's the broad generalizations about the black community. His post has some merit but it is an idealized subtly racist post. It doesn't mean he's racist.
His post was not about the "black community," it was about individuals. Individuals who deal drugs are damaging their communities. Individuals who have children out of wedlock are damaging their children. Individuals who drop out of high school are damaging themselves. Tommy did not say "all black people do X, Y, and Z." He said "those black people who DO do X, Y, and Z are harming their communities."

No...... you perceived it to be racist, because everything "white" seems to strike you as racist. He never accused them of being sex crazed; he said to quit having children out of wedlock. There is a big difference. And he never said that these behaviors were based on skin color; he was talking about a specific subset of people........... those in poor inner city neighborhoods. It's funny how it is ok to point to poor inner city neighborhoods as examples of "institutionalized racism" against blacks, making the inference that blacks make up most of the poor inner city population. But it's racist if someone talks about black issues, and uses the poor inner city neighborhoods as an example.

I've proposed solutions. I proposed them two pages back. Education funding, after school programs, body cams on cops, ending the War on Drugs, ending privatized prisons, sex education and readily available birth control, better health care, prosecuting housing discrimination.

Yep. The discussion was about the inner city and my remarks reflected that. Then when the excuses came, I used me as an example of a person that - while not from the inner city - but one from the same poverty stricken, alcohol dependent, upbringing better known as "poor white trash" to debunk his excuses that people can't overcome long odds to become successful. It that makes me racist, then so be it.

Women who can't keep their legs closed, men who only want one thing, that is broadbrushing these "inner city neighborhoods" as sex-crazed.

So how would ending the War on Drugs improve things?

Not how I read it. Especially the technology, fashion, or listening to the Devil's rap music.

I am pretty sure that he was referring to ALL of the women who can't keep their legs closed, and ALL of the men who only want one thing.... What's racist about that?

If I read your posts to be the ramblings of an illiterate child................ that doesn't mean that you are, in fact, an illiterate child. It could be that I am just seeing things through biased eyes. And it could mean that you are perceiving racism where there isn't any, because you want to see racism.
