No one is putting any blame on him. But, you have to make both of those kicks.

I was calling for him to be a captain but after that first miss I said in the gameday chat that I'm ready to move on. He has been really bad all year. Something like 11 for 18, most not being close. Meanwhile FSU's kicker makes 55 yarders like they are chip shots.
Comparing him to Florida State Kicker probably isn't fair. Thats why I would compare him to the WALK-ON at Northwestern burying kicks right between the uprights when the games is on the line.
His struggles this year remind me of David Ruffer in 2011.
Except Brindza was never anywhere as good as Ruffer in 2010.
Better career...couple rough games. Get over it...move on
Just think how it would mess with your mentality as a kicker wondering if the ball is going to be there when it needs to be. Creates ton of issues. He has proven he is a solid kicker over his career and one of the best ever at Notre Dame. He has just hit a rough patch. Look at where it began with the bad holds.
Then he better not hope for much of a NFL career. Even in the NFL they have bad snaps and you have to do your job and put it in the uprights.
Only way he plays in the NFL is as a punter.

too bad that such a great career is coming to such a shaky and frustrating end.
this guy has won a lot of games for us just wish he could have helped win a few more.
44 yarder with the wind going to the left and he hits the upright... I mean, it doesn't sounds that horrific.
But still, that FG would have been nice..
Good college kickers should be able to have someone make an excuse for them when they miss 95% of the time.
Good college kickers should be able to hit 44 yarders 95% of the time.
Good kickers don't become total head cases at the end of the season like this. Big players rise, the issue with Kyle is he is a good kid--but as a player he didn't rise.
