His 7 for 7 XP kicks kick him 84 straight XP kicks, good for #3 on ND's list.

No one is putting any blame on him. But, you have to make both of those kicks.

I was calling for him to be a captain but after that first miss I said in the gameday chat that I'm ready to move on. He has been really bad all year. Something like 11 for 18, most not being close. Meanwhile FSU's kicker makes 55 yarders like they are chip shots.

Comparing him to Florida State Kicker probably isn't fair. Thats why I would compare him to the WALK-ON at Northwestern burying kicks right between the uprights when the games is on the line.

You can compare him to pretty much any D1 kicker that you want to. He's been that shaky. 22nd worse percentage in the country. And 2nd worse of anyone with over 15 attempts.

Brindza extended his Notre Dame career record for field goals to 56 against UL.

17th game in Brindza's career that he has made multiple field goals.

He was 2 for 3 for a career 56 of 79, .709.

He's second on Career Accruacy behind Carney's .739, 51 of 69. Brindza had taken over the Accuracy lead by mid season this year but a rash of mishandled snaps and missed kicks have dropped him back to second place.

His 8 points gives him 280 in his career, second only to Craig Hentrich's 294 All-Time Kicker Record.

Brindza is 4th on ND's All-Time Scoring Career Record (regardless of position). He's 2 points behind Autry Denson, 14 behind Hentrich, and 40 behind Allen Pinkett.

Brindza and Fuller are tied for the 2014 Team Scoring Lead with 84 points.

Two losses I put on him. Get the f--k out. Somebody else didn't hold the other times.

Hitting FGs all of a sudden is the most interesting in the game...and we (Kyle) misses a lot.

I remember this time, last week, saying the same thing.

too bad that such a great career is coming to such a shaky and frustrating end.

this guy has won a lot of games for us just wish he could have helped win a few more.

Except Brindza was never anywhere as good as Ruffer in 2010.

Better career...couple rough games. Get over it...move on

Just think how it would mess with your mentality as a kicker wondering if the ball is going to be there when it needs to be. Creates ton of issues. He has proven he is a solid kicker over his career and one of the best ever at Notre Dame. He has just hit a rough patch. Look at where it began with the bad holds.

Then he better not hope for much of a NFL career. Even in the NFL they have bad snaps and you have to do your job and put it in the uprights.

My team's interhall kicker knocked through a 42 harder in the stadium for the championship which turned out to be the only score, winning 3-0... Big W tho haha, full pads/tackle

I agree, he got the Kelly kiss of death. Lol. Didn't he say that Brindza is one of if not the best kicker in CFB at the start of the season? Very similar to his words about Gary Gray to start the 2011 season.

I'm sorry but his short punts just kill this horrible defense. Can he flip the field once?

He's just not good enough. As a senior he should be competent in one aspect of the game, but he really can't do anything.

He is horrific. I've been saying that...some said the holder had KY jelly hands though, his fault.

He sucks.

When is the last time he actually made a FG? Bet he had a PAT blocked and taken back since then...

44 yarder with the wind going to the left and he hits the upright... I mean, it doesn't sounds that horrific.

But still, that FG would have been nice..

This one kick has nothing to do with it...he could have nailed it...and still suck.

Good kickers don't become total head cases at the end of the season like this. Big players rise, the issue with Kyle is he is a good kid--but as a player he didn't rise.

Good career, but glad he's gone after this year. Appears that his head is all messed up ever since the debacle in the rain (bad snaps. etc>).

Truly incredible how a kicker who is so bad owns almost every kicking record at ND and an NCAA record.
