Okay, I can understand that in fall camp or in the first 2 or 3 weeks, but this is week 12 man! It's pretty obvious at this point who is performing in game and who isn't. Who gives a damn about practice if it's clearly not translating to the game!? This isn't rocket science Kelly! Get your head out of your ass.

Sorry but Cam has typically been pretty solid all year in pass protection. So you yank him after whiffing on a few in favor of Bryant who doesn't appear to have the ability to block anyone at this point? There is a reason Kelly is the coach and you aren't.

That's why I said Bryant needs to look at Bryant. Learn to pass block or ride the pines. That's on him.

I have to say that is on coaching then. Why is it that every single damn running back we have is struggling with pass protection? That can't just be a coincidence. That's coaching. Kelly, Alford, get your shit together ricky tick. I'm tired of this.

Maybe because they spend too much time on Twitter as opposed to perfecting their craft?

I really wouldn't mind seeing Cam on the bench for the rest of the year, play Greg and Fol. Cam missed a huge block on a hit on Ev, and then fumbled. Time for him to sit the rest of the year.

I just hope he is here next year, how will Max and Greg stay for what is going on??

One carry? Cmon, stop with this pass happy playcalling. It is fuck!n frustrating. No reason not to run the ball against Northwestern. If there is I would like to hear it.

My thoughts also. Plenty of other backs in other programs contribute as Freshman, but at ND the pass blocking is too complex? Hell, even Darius Walker started quite a bit as a Freshman. Why does it take 3 years for a RB to learn to pick up the blitz in this offense???

Greg gets killed for fumbling against Syracuse and doesn't get any more carries. Cam is Kelly's RKG. The dude gets like 3 yards a carry. But he is a captain so he must get carries.

I do not think so. Bryant had a brilliant drive against UNC (then he disappeared). I think that Kelly just does not like Bryant. He always praises Folston and when he is asked about Bryant he always says that he needs to improve and learn the game. Simple as that in my opinion.

Clearly Bryant is the solution at RB and Kelly doesn't want to play him because he doesn't want to win. It's a conspiracy.

Not sure how you got from a to b but whatever. Bryant has been pretty consistent in showing that he doesn't really know what he's doing when he's in the game. This team has enough problems screwing things up as it is. Anyhow, I'm very much of the opinion that Folston should have had 35 plus carries against Northwestern. In closing have a beer, smoke some weed, get some action it might help with the frustration.

Haven't you seen? Bryant has 5 stars! He should be getting all the carries.

Speaking of conspiracies me and my brother came up with a good one. Kelly is going all pass happy and making questionable calls to keep the games close to make them more exciting. This insures that TV ratings remain high which in turn insures ND will have an exclusive TV contract from now until the end of time.

That's a lot of stars. Maybe Dancing with the Stars is on his horizon? But only if he keeps his feet on the ground and keeps reaching for those stars.

Bryant's 61-yard punt return in the third quarter against UL is the longest by Notre Dame since Golden Tate went 87 yards for a TD against Pittsburgh in 2009.

there was a punt in the 3rd q when Greg caught the ball with nobody in 10-12 yards of him. Flutie said on the commentary that Greg signalled for a fair catch the moment the ball left the punter's boot. He could have taken that one back too for a huge gain.

My cable and internet were both out for the second half so I didn't get to see it yet.

From reading the board I thought Golson and Brinzda BOTH lost the game all by themselves compounded by the usual junior high school play calling by Kelly and BVG.

Reading IE and then looking at the play by play and then watching the game makes, I shudder to say this, Tom Hammond looks knowledgeable by comparison.

i can remember in previous seasons going to bed when ND was playing a 8pm kickoff (1am kickoff) and then waking up first thing in the morning to check IE and seeing all the 'FIRE BK' threads and then deciding against watching the full game replay and going back to sleep :D

How awesome was that punt return? The cocky bastard jumps right up and crosses his arms to the stands. I loved it. Can't wait to see him get carries next year.

I feel that we are loosing valuable time in the development of GB. He is missing opportunities every game gaining experience. We see flashes of an athletic RB that could do great things but he continues to ride the pine. If he is sitting because of poor pass blocking or not learning the offense fast enough I believe that is a position / head coach problem. Unleash the beast or he may move on to another opportunity!

Not that my thoughts matter anymore than all of yours because in the end we are all just fans.

My thoughts exactly. Same with redfield and shummate. Piss poor coaching to not give Bryant a chance to finish the TD off after he sparked the crowd and put us in position to score. Players don't appreciate that. And instead we run a fucking bubble screen from the 3, lol.
