Fox never got the credit he deserved here. He wasn't an all-american but he played a lot of good football for us. He can probably be a very solid backup at least in the NFL, and a good pickup for the Giants as an UDFA.

This is great for Dan. Especially after his alma mater (Cleveland St. Ignatius) got spanked by my nephews' team (N. Canton Hoover) in the lacrosse playoffs, last night. I'm sure he needed something positive!

Yes. I feel like he always got lumped in with Calabrese as the "guy who's not Manti Teo" when they were in fact very different players. Fox is a lot more versatile, and quietly made a lot of good plays.

Decent on Fox. We're probably going to keep 5-6 linebackers and have 5 close to locks at LB. So he's essentially battling USC's Kennard and another position for a roster spot.

Herman on the other hand will have a ton of competition. Schwartz, Walton, Snee, Jerry, Richburg, Mosley, Reynolds and Brewer are all likely ahead of him and are capable of playing inside (although Brewer has been taking snaps at LT).

Given that he's fighting for a roster spot as opposed to a starting slot, his ability to make the team will come down to ST. If he shines there, he'll make the team.

Heard the same thing. They are expecting Beason to be out for a bit.
